Listen folks, if we are drafting Lance, it is only because he has the greatest potential. Remember, position-less NFL offense. He's got vision like a great running back, speed like a WR, a canon for an accurate arm, and smarts like a head coach!

Primary reason I like him is because he has pro style offense experience unlike the other prospects.

But Bethard did too so that worries me a bit.

However, in defense of Bethard he picked up a lot of bad habits while in college primarily from bad coaching and he just couldn't shake them as a pro.

Lance on the other hand doesn't have any overwhelming bad habits that can't be fixed through strong coaching.

He just needs experience and better competition to improve

Plus he's infinitely better at football than Beathard. That helps too

If we went in that direction - I'd love Lance at #3 and groom him for '22. Guy can be Mahomes II.

Mort and Fowler both said Lance can "absolutely" cement himself as the pick at 3 with a great pro-day. SF is taking a wide angle approach to this pick and it's not "just Jones" at all

For a kid who hasn't had all the QB camps and trainers, he has shown pretty good improvement so far. Can't wait to see his pro day.

I wouldn't mind Lance. The fact that they are probably going with Jimmy in 2021 unless some other team wants him bad enough, tells me thye may be more willing to take a guy like Lance or Fields who might need a year to learn. If Jones was theitr target, they might be more willing to trade Jimmy. I know Lance would be a surprise to most but so was the trade they made to move up.
