He is playing in a division of football, where the defenders literally, play defense because they can't catch. If you actually watched his games there are plenty of throws that defenders get hands on the ball or the WR is covered but makes a play, of the defender doesn't even try for the ball and just goes for the PI to prevent the big play. On other throws, he is throwing to WIDE OPEN Wrs.

You are box scores scouting and making him out to be this tactical surgeon with the football, which is not the case. He threw for less that 70% comp % against inferior competition.

Yeah but it goes both ways. I'd be willing to bet Lance has the most drops by his teammates of all the QBs in the draft by far. I saw a lot when I watched all his games his receivers aren't on the same level as the other top QBs even though his team in general were very good compared to the competition.

He's certainly not gonna throw zero ints in the NFL but I think he will take care of the football and take less sacks then Fields or Wilson.

Where Lance really separates himself is his brain. Dude eats sleeps drinks football and not just on the field but in the film room too. I mean - coaches are coming to teach and he's teaching them a thing or two too. That's pretty incredible for 20 year old.

Well Lance's team (who are the same minus he and Radunz) have now lost 2 games and won't win a championship.

People have been jumping on him being on the FCS Bama, but maybe he had a fair amount to do with their success?

I dont know if anyone has compared Trey to Randall Cunningham yet but he reminds me of him. I can envision Lance translating his game similar to Randall to the NFL. There the same height 6'4" as well. I would be very happy if we draft him.

I like the Cunningham comp... it one I've rarely heard. The favorite one that I've heard is Steve McNair. It might partially be because McNair was also an FCS guy but the big bruising running style and arm strength seem to jive as well.

Very good is an understatement. The same program went undefeated and won the FCS championship with Easton Stick at QB. NDSU is a Division 1 Program that insists on remaining in the FCS. On a player by player comparison they outclassed every single FCS program.

As a result, rarely did they need Lance to win games with his arm.

You know people slam him for not throwing enough, particularly in the FCS Championship. What if he was just doing what was required to win though? Just because you're the Bama of whatever doesn't mean you don't face tough competition. James Madison was a slight betting favorite in the championship game despite NDSU being undefeated. I think he did what was required to win, and if you're actually just watching that game and not trying to find a reason not to like him, how can you not come away saying Trey was a massive part in getting that win? Oh and he was the game MVP btw. Trey massively elevated his team. So did Easton. And so did Carson. Can he do it at the next level? There's no guarantees but I would bet on his athletic traits, drive, intelligence, and work ethic over Jones for certain and he would be my preference over Fields as well.

They've won the FCS Championship 8 times since 2011. They've won whether it was Lance, Easton Stick, Carson Wentz or Brock Jensen at QB. The year before Lance, they went undefeated and won the championship with Stick at QB.

They aren't Bama, they are like a combination of Bama+Ohio State in the FCS. They are beyond loaded. They may have a down year here and there but overall they blow everyone away on just pure talent. Jabril Cox didn't want to miss the season so he transferred to LSU. He went from the FCS to starting in the SEC without skipping a beat. That's how good the program is and there's probably 5-8 other guys who could do the same.
