Bama would never

I wouldn't put a whole lot into the results of a weird spring season gimmick that honestly they should have skipped altogether and started clean in the fall. They're still 6-2 and will be a contender for yet another FCS championship.

Bama would never

Bama also doesn't have 8 national championships in the past decade.

I would call all this past yr a weird gimmicky season as well

8 ints in 7 games gross.

Not like playing football in the spring and having to move everything around to jerryrig a schedule. It's been kind of a mess and its pretty clear that Miller should be the starting QB since Noland hasn't been able to get it done. Not at Iowa State, not when he lost out to Lance and now it's clear that he's inferior to yet another freshman QB.

I dont know if anyone has compared Trey to Randall Cunningham yet but he reminds me of him. I can envision Lance translating his game similar to Randall to the NFL. There the same height 6'4" as well. I would be very happy if we draft him.

I like the Cunningham comp... it one I've rarely heard. The favorite one that I've heard is Steve McNair. It might partially be because McNair was also an FCS guy but the big bruising running style and arm strength seem to jive as well.

Yeah McNair is a great comp too. I bet you Lance or McNair couldnt punt like Cunningham though. Check out the 5:17 mark

McNair is my favorite comp as well. Small schools and Steve went #3 overall. McNair had one of the greatest seasons in college football history his senior year but who's to say Trey wouldn't have gotten there if he played this year?
Almost #TreyArea time

I personally saw some McNabb in him. Honestly I'm not as high on trey as I am with Fields but I would be excited too if we get lance.

I'll take Lance over Fields, That 4.4 40 doesn't matter if he isn't elusive. Lance looks like he had the natural vision of a runner. Fields has more tape and track record but Lance has that beautiful deep ball

Honestly I think Fields ran a 4.44. They say add on .05 to pro day numbers which puts him at about a 4.5. That number seems about right when compared with the tape. He's athletic but doesn't pull away from defenders when running like a Lamar or Vick. Lance is the same way but I agree he's a much more natural and gifted runner. 1100 yds at 6.5 a pop as a nineteen year old and then 140 in his only game this year. Really impressive runner.

Fields was insanely accurate on deep balls. I understand that people might prefer Lance to Fields, but that seems like a strange reason for doing so.
