Could be. We just don't know. Too many rumors and "my sources say tell me.." stuff going around from everyone for all three of these guys. You don't really know what to believe anymore.

I've watched everything under the sun for Mac and Fields but have certainly failed on that with Lance.

Can someone give the skinny on him as to why he hisc labeled with potentially having the highest ceiling?

LOL. That was my first guess a month ago listening to Greg Cossell. Then Mac, then Fields and now back to Lance for a hot minute.

To me Fields-Mac and 3rd is Lance. I like Fields but I can see Mac being (I'm being very optimistic here) possibly being Brady 2.0.

I'm not seeing it. IMHO it's just media hype. You get those every year from these D2 schools. I'm not seeing this "IT" factor in him.

Justin Fields, Mac Jones and Trey Lance are viewed as the three signal-callers the 49ers will choose between at No. 3 overall, with Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson expected to be the first two players selected. While early whispers have tabbed Jones as the 49ers' top choice, Dan Patrick reported Thursday that he's hearing coach Kyle Shanahan and the team's personnel department have different feelings on who the pick should be.

"Yeah, I know Kyle Shanahan loves Mac," Patrick said, reading a text from a source. "Was told personnel department is still hoping to change his mind to Trey Lance. I get that Mac fits what he does, but man, I would want a lot more with that third pick."

Another source told Patrick they are hearing that Jones is the expected pick, while a third source said they believe Lance makes more sense with the 49ers' plan for 2021.

If they're pushing the narrative that Kyle wants Jones while the others want Lance...it likely is Fields. We'll find out in a week+

Not seeing the "IT" factor? Everybody is praising him on his arm strength, accuracy and intelligence. I don't know were your getting this not it stuff.

He plays and grasps the pro-style, play action, roll out system very well. He looks bigger than Justin Fields, although they seem to weigh the same? 227. He has deceptive speed.
