If its true the 49ers asked Lance to work with Beck for some weeks to learn their concepts and drills and play the way they run it, today is HUGE for him.
If he can show them he adapted his style to the system the 49ers run, this could be the deciding piece.

as expected trey lance hype beginning with his pro day, which is not a bad thing

mac jones will be there by media in order to increase intrigue. pick at this point is almost certain to be justin fields/trey lance. major factor is john beck specifically coaching up both players and closed media pro days which are essential 49ers private workouts (both fields and lance running specific plays for shanahan). he is talking to ryan day a lot as well as probably NDSU coach/Quincey Avery (Private QB coach for Lance). Didn't say a word to Saban.

Shouldn't be hard for him to adapt to those things. He was under center a lot in college and ran a ton of play action.

No, but the Chiefs didn't trade up before the draft for the #3 overall pick either. Assuming you're talking about having a 2nd pro day tailored by the Chiefs for Mahomes. They had to hide things much more than we do, plus unless some news comes out, nobody has a clue who we are taking. I hope the FO does lol.
