I've watched everything under the sun for Mac and Fields but have certainly failed on that with Lance.
Can someone give the skinny on him as to why he hisc labeled with potentially having the highest ceiling?
I'm not seeing it. IMHO it's just media hype. You get those every year from these D2 schools. I'm not seeing this "IT" factor in him.

NC, put Trey Lance Vs into YouTube and there's a bunch of 6-8 min cut ups. Bear in mind that 98% of them are of a 19 year old RS Freshman.
The IT factor is a rocket arm, beautiful high arcing deep ball, the ability to throw on a rope to the wide side of the field.
The intrigue from us is that their playbook literally steals from ours, tons of wide zone boot action, TE leaks and under center play.
The ultimate geek out bit is listening to coaches telling people how he's teaching them things, that he dictates the playcall based on what he sees, and sets the protections.
It's the last bit that has me most excited when you consider that all the other guys were looking over at the sideline ready to run exactly what there coach signalled to them.
All of that is without considering that he runs like a cross between Cam and Lamar.

Did the Chiefs do this with Mahommes??? Such horse crap.
No, they brought him in for a private workout, which is exactly what we'd have done were we allowed.

If its true the 49ers asked Lance to work with Beck for some weeks to learn their concepts and drills and play the way they run it, today is HUGE for him.
If he can show them he adapted his style to the system the 49ers run, this could be the deciding piece.
Or it could be Kyle trying to just "appease" John Lynch and others who want him to take a closer look at Lance even though he has already made his final decision on "his" guy.
Jed could step in for the sake of the franchise. That egomaniac flat brim is going to set us back years
