lol I'd bet you $100 that Lance will get drafted in 1st round.

I think he's a top 10 lock.

Ok look at what you're saying, seriously. In the first sentence you basically state that Ohio State was steamrolling a lot of their competition, which reduced Fields's number of passing attempts. In what universe does that not also apply to NDSU? You're also trying to compare two completely different styles of offense, which will absolutely affect the number of passing attempts. Ohio State frequently has 1 or 2 more receiving options and spreads the field, so even in games where they are up they tend to keep throwing the ball. Fields had 45 attempts in the National Championship which they won by 4 touchdowns. NDSU, on the other hand, is a run first pro style offense that isn't going to pass as much and never has.

Saying NDSU, which has a LONG history of using this type of playstyle going back at least a decade (and winning a championship doing it almost every year), was doing it because they didn't trust Lance's arm is perhaps one of the worst takes I've seen in everything I've read about these prospects. No offense meant.

You're not taking a chance on a guy whose team didn't trust him to throw, you're taking a chance on a prospect with all of the necessary physical and mental traits to be successful and has demonstrated as much on the field for anyone willing to look past the box scores.

A chance is a chance is a chance. Doesn't matter why they imitated his passing attempts. All that matters is they did. So then its a projection based on his physical traits because game film shows a guy attempting on average 18 passes a game.

Fields played against some of the best coverage defenses compared to any other QB in this draft.

It has got to be either Mac or Fields. Lance is a project. Lance had one game where he threw for over 300 yards. 1 out of 17 games he threw for over 300 yards. Do you know how many games he threw for over 200 yards? 4 out of 17 games he threw for over 200 yards. Absolutely Terrible. This all in games where NDSU was the best team playing against garbage teams. People will point to his TD to Int ratio in 2019. But It must have been the luck of the Gods on his side because at times his accuracy was downright terrible. You guys actually want to spend 3 first-round picks, #3 overall on this Kid? It baffles me. It truly does.

You went back to watch his games or his box scores? Lol not the same thing.

Ohhh I watched the Games believe me. His tape was so bad I could barely get through it. I think It helps to explain how bad someone is with there GOD awful stats to back it up..I just wanted to paint you all a picture of what you think we should be drafting.

I went to bed last night thinking to myself. How? How could someone who played that bad and not throw a single Interception in 2019? Could a man truly be that lucky? Did the man actually make a deal with the Devil? The only thing I could come up with is when he missed his receiver. And trust me he missed them often. That it was because he threw the ball so damn hard, with so little touch, was so inaccurate, so off-target.....That no one on the entire football field could see where he threw it, let alone actually catch it.

He throws with a tad more touch than Kap Imo.

I'm going to copy and paste this and we'll come back to this statement in three years. I have a strong feeling you'll be eating crow. It's kind of rich to say your piss poor surface level tape evaluation matches his GOD awful stats:

Lance's 2019 "GOD awful" stats:
2,786 yards on 67% completion
28 passing TDs to 0 INTs
NFL passer rating 131
Rush yards 1,100
Rush TDs 14

I would add that you clearly just don't like him if that's what you're seeing while "evaluating" his tape.

Lance steal your girl or something?

The only way Lance goes in the second round is if he randomly beats up a whole pack of Girl Scouts two days before the draft.

The Cowboys would still draft him at 10.

Look at 2020 for Fields. He played in 8 games and only threw 62 fewer passes than Lance did in an entire 16 game season.

You really want to put the future of a franchise on the arm of a guy whose college team didn't even trust his arm enough to rely on vs guys who are barely better than High School level talent?

I'd rather not take that chance with someone like Fields available.

Uhhh...that is not true. They actually trusted him more than any other QB in this draft. They let him call audibles and let him run the entire offense himself at LOS.

He ran an extremely simple offense and his audibles were mostly just changing from run to pass based on the defense.

That's not saying much. Kap had no touch. So this guy has a tad? Weak

He might fall to the Seahawks. They need Wilson insurance. The midget constantly complains

Hey, I have been both wrong and right about QBs before. He very well might develop into a great QB. Physically he definitely has it. Based on the tape I watched in 2019 he was not a very good QB at the time. And the one game he had last season wasn't good either That is just my opinion though. Maybe he has significantly improved since then, I don't know. He lacks touch with his passes, Consistent accuracy. He failed to see wide-open players on the field often. This was not just simply just a couple of games either.

I don't know how someone can see that a guy only threw for 200 yards in four games his entire college career. Against FCS competition. And feel comfortable taking him with the #3 overall pick. simply because of his body size, arm strength and he can run the football. If that is all we need to draft a QB. we should have just signed Cam or Kap. Because that might just be what we are getting if we Draft Lance.

I want to like him as a player. I just don't. I am sure he is a great guy. Maybe, He will develop into something special but IMO based on what I watched in college he is a long way away from being an NFL-caliber QB let alone this superstar people seem to think he is.

He won't fall. If the 49ers don't take him, one of Atlanta, Denver, Philadelphia, Washington or Chicago definitely will.
