Trey lance 2019
2786 passing yards
28 tds
0 int
66.9%
rushing 1100 yards
14 TDs
Easton Stick 2018
2752 passing yards
28 tds
7 ints
62.3%
rushing 677
17 tds
The gap shows up on tape in their arm strength. Stick's arm on film compared to Lance is like Mac's arm on film compared to Lance.
Actually I take it back. I'm insulting Stick's arm strength.
In all seriousness though.. as great an FCS college player as Stick was there is a reason he went in the 5th round.
1. It's funny how people use Haskins college success to downgrade Fields but don't use Stick to downgrade Lance. You can see a noticeable difference in Fields and Haskins.
2. It's also funny how Fields gets downgraded for not beating out Fromm as a true freshman, but Lance doesn't get downgraded for not beating out stick.
3. You would expect someone as talented as Lance to "Stick" out a little more and look more like a man amongst boys especially with his arm.

Hmmm, who's the funny/happy-go-lucky ones on this bunch? I bet the 49ers would prefer maturity than age on that aspect of evaluation.
I see what you're saying, but I think as long as you love football you're cool with us. There are a lot of different personality types and they mesh well together.
I could see Mac fitting in the Kittle, Juice, Trent Taylor group.
Fields with guys like Warner, Bosa, Trent Williams.
And I think Lance would sort of dip in and out of all of them. All these QB's seem to be all ball, I really don't think we can go wrong, maybe just more right with the perfect selection.
I want nothing to do with Jones as I've stated for months but all 3 I think would be excellent leaders where the players would gravitate to. You've already seen some guys on Twitter like Fields. By the way Trent Taylor is so gone

1) And the fact that you ignore that Wentz has had success in the NFL yet also sat behind Brock Jensen means your knowledge is limited. Also it's funny you can see the difference athletically between Haskins and Fields yet don't see a difference between Stick and Lance. Actually I don't find that funny, I find it hilarious.
2) Um yeah, Jensen < Wentz but same situation and Stick < Lance but same situation. Keep in mind Stick had just won the national championship the year before. Oh yeah, Jensen had won the two previous years. Also, only some people say Fields not beating out Fromm means anything. This whole process is an echo chamber of dumb takes... try not to take them too personally as I think those takes are a vocal minority.
3) You aren't watching the player if you don't see the arm talent, you're looking at the helmet and discounting him immediately.

With all the news surrounding Lance, Fields, and Jones...they should hold a freaking reality show with a rose ceremony at the end
Someone has got to photoshop something like that

I got something even better I'm working on.
I don't want to post it yet but I don't want to post it too close to the draft.

Fields' improvement as a QB coming out of college was incremental, while Lance's improvement in much lesser amount of time was exponential!
What are you basing that on? What data points?

He was damaged goods imho, based on his attitude which started after the benching.
So there are things that are more important then? Good to know!

we drafted McGlinchey and kept Staley around. They do not mind goofy characters. As long as they are not getting DUIs. Which in Mac's case, I guess they're just ignoring it.

He said the number of quality throws based on Lance's experience and repetitions playing under center and/or having full control /decision making as far as protections and overall decision on what to do with the ball on any given play was much higher than Fields. Lance at this point in time is more pro ready based on experience, regardless of throws/snaps.

Wentz is making $32 million a season. I think this deal was reduce the cost of a QB on the salary cap in the near future while guys like Bosa and Warner start looking for $$.
Not if they were considered Stafford and Watson.

1. I don't know why you are bringing up Wentz, he was gone before Lance got there.
2. I was merely pointing out the fact that those most of fields "shortcomings" can be applied to the other QBs.
3. Looking at the helmet is yet another thing that only seems to affect Fields draft status.
