The timing of his post was shady and shows an agenda, probably click bait, but could be worse.

We never truly know about character (neither do the teams sometimes) but every single person or team that have worked with him have raved about him.

His WR's, Jim Nagy, his coaches. I'll trust that more than a few possibly questionable deleted tweets and a photo he was tagged in when he was 12.

The tweet was readily available to anyone with a Twitter account, all you had to do was go to his sister's page. Biderman said he deleted a massive amount of tweets just from this past yr as well.

Ben wasn't the only one that retweeted that tweet either. Bleacher report did as well.

I'm not saying he's Foster, but his teammates at Bama LOVED him too. teammates loved zeke Elliot all the same...his coaches praised the s**t out of him...I could careless what Jim Nagy says, all he cares about is pumping up his senior Bowl guys. Nagy hasn't said one bad thing about anyone that played in the Senior Bowl.

look this is a job interview you have a kid that shouldn't even been in discussion just based on play overall at 3, who had a DUI and a racist undertone photo (and who knows what else), and according to Rap not a single team has him in their top 3 QB rankings... plus you have 2 other very very good prospects? I mean what are we doing here?

There's no racist undertones about that photo. Damn man you guys won't quit with this BS racism agenda. Let it go and talk football please and thank you.

I actually get more of a Dak Prescott impression with Fields, but hey, if we take him and he's close to either one of those guys we'd be getting a great QB.

They have Fields at 57% accurate/18% uncatchable and Lance at 47% accurate/24% uncatchable.z

In his lone 2020 game, they had him at 29% accurate on his 30 passes.

Umm charting is subjective? Even for PFF? Do you need an Edge sub to see those?
Feeling better and better about how well Lance fits in this offense. I think he's the guy.

I am curious about the concept of "fits in this offense" vs others etc.

Who are the top 5 QB in the NFL today?

Mahomes
Rodgers
Brady
Allen
Wilson

Wouldn't any of them be good in Kyles offense? Obviously the mobility is a plus, but I mean if you're good you're good. Which QB in this draft class would be thought of as good regardless?

FWIW, I've seen Watson comparisons and a more polished Dak Prescott when it comes to Fields.

You gotta be an insane individual to prefer Jones over Fields and Lance

So what's your point? NDSU is the incubator of Shanahan QBs, then let's get one whose been in the incubator longer, regardless of price. An if.......they weren't rumors, they could have had Wentz for a lot less than any of the other QB options.

They didn't want Wentz. They seem to really like Lance - which is why they're doing all this extensive work. Maybe just maybe Shanahan knows something you don't.

LOL. You make like you know what Shanahan wants more than I do. The question is why didn't they want Wentz if calling plays in college was so important to them?

Distance from where to where?

The length of the entire period he payed in the pro-style offense, compared to the length of the entire period days Fields played in a college system.

How can you measure "exponential growth" with one season of data?

does his accuracy worry you?

I don't know why people are so certain they didn't at least call the Eagles to gauge a price, especially considering how many other avenues they are exploring and have been reported to explore. I mean if they offered their 12th pick for Darnold, are we certain they never even called the Eagles? I'm not saying the talks got far as the Eagles price was probably too high for Kyle, but I would be more surprised if no call was ever even made than if one was.

Also: If Lance is the pick, it's not because he called plays in college. That's like saying the Jets are taking Wilson because he wears cool headbands. I mean, the headbands are awesome, but there's plenty of other reasons to like Wilson.

Im convinced it's Lance.

At first I couldn't imagine Kyle taking anyone with his accuracy issues, but then I remembered that Kyle is confident (arrogant?) enough to think he can fix that. (See: Rosen, Josh)

& Lance's strengths match up with the qualities Kyle values most: smarts, pocket awareness/composure, ability to throw on the run, toughness, ability to limit turnovers/negative plays.

And then you throw in his height, weight, speed, running ability and arm strength goodies as the cherry on top.

I like Fields better as a prospect, but when I watch his film I see a QB who takes more risks than Lance and often leaves the pocket when he doesn't have to. I think this is an asset in certain schemes - hi Seattle - but I think it would drive Kyle nuts.

Would you classify Jimmy as a risk taker?

"I don't know yet. He's definitely taken some. So, we'll see as this goes. You want guys to be aggressive and let it rip. You just don't want guys to guess. You want guys to see it and believe it in and not hesitate and think about it and let it go. When guys do that, it usually gives them a chance to be great. It's also going to give you some games where you have a lot of picks and stuff and you just didn't see it right and it's how you respond to those and what do you learn from them. Does it make you more gun-shy and do you get worse as it goes because of it? Or do you learn why you saw it wrong, why you made that pick and you get better? I think if you look at a lot of the great quarterbacks through all-time, a lot of them, especially early in their careers, they have had a lot of picks. They have had a lot of pick-sixes and stuff. Those guys learn from it and get better from it and the guys who don't, it usually gets a lot worse."

My official guess. IT'S LANCE.

Or Jones.

Or Fields.
