If the reports are true that it's Lynch that wants Lance, I really hope Kyle has the ability to heed the HOF Safety's advice. Lynch spent his career studying QBs from the defensive backfield. He's watched thousands of hours of film preparing for good, s**tty, and great QBs alike. He kept his eyes on the QB during games and learned the QB position well enough to excel at his own to a HOF career. If Lynch is high on Lance, like he was high on Mahomes, I hope his clout and experience holds sway.

I don't think it was just Lynch that was wanting Lance but the entire personnel department that was calling for Lance. It's clear as day why Kyle would want Jones but when the entire personnel department is banging the table for Lance, Kyle has to give it serious consideration. Kyle sending John Beck to work with Lance is more proof that Lance was becoming the favorite for #3. The interviews and intangibles were off the chart for Lance. No character concerns and multiple meeting with the family are a huge sign it's Lance. As long as Beck gave Kyle the ok, Lance will be the pick on Thursday.

Doubtful, but who knows. This whole leak thing is super-concerning and points to a rift between the talent evaluators and the decision maker. Which is not surprising as we've seen the same heated discussions take place in the national discourse. It's a high-stakes decision and very divergent in what is the correct philosophy to follow. I'm wondering if it's the personnel dept. that wants to go on record because they don't want their careers to be tied to whether Mac Jones is worth 3 firsts and third.

First off Jack Hammer is a joke and cup holder for Grant Cohn. Now with that truth behind us, let's move to being fair and critiquing Webzone's anointed king Trey Lance's game. Everybody talks about his stats in 2019, but some how leave out his 2020 game against UCA - better known as Central Arkansas. Of course being Ark49er means I know a little about the college teams in the home state. UCA plays hard but they can't compete with the top 2 universities in the state, or be considered a top 200 college football team. People like to criticize Justin Fields game against a strong national team like IU and to some extent Northwestern. We will just skip past the problems OSU had with scheduling games and key players missing due to Covid-19.

Now until King Lance's game against the powerhouse UCA bears. Just simply watch for yourself and enjoy my brothers and sisters. Mechanics, turnovers, over thrown balls, etc but I won't spoil it.

So the fact that Cohn and Hammer disagreed on the QB rankings doesn't matter, or the fact that Cohn's other crony Vish is in love with Fields?

This is a flat out lazy take being made for one reason: you like Fields. Cohn gets people on his channel who know more than he does and disagree with him as much as agree with him.

Carlton Lance was on the 1994 49ers team. Mike was OC, they know each other.

Yep, we're back to the days of Baalke and Harbaugh. I wonder who will win the power struggle this time?

Seems like only a matter of time before Peters and possibly even Lynch are ousted and Kyle has his dad appointed as GM and Chris Simms as the top personnel guy.
