Similar results but very different execution. Kap had long stride straight line speed which wasnt great for avoiding pressure but was game breaking on designed runs and a baseball throwing motion that put everything on a line which gave him no touch but could do amazing things with tight windows. Jackson has a huge arm and throws it proper above the waist but has horrid footwork that makes him sail the ball, so he has more touch and is more versatile but if you get to him he becomes a mess. He is also sprinter fast, getting up to speed quickly and is very elusive which means his best runs arent usually planned runs.

Man I really wished the reporters would have asked about Lance/Fields instead of just about Jones (and how much the fans would hate the pick lol).

Great article. The article mentions that no QB drafted in the 1st round from 2009-2016 is still with their original team. That's crazy and shows how hard it is to nail picking a QB.

Most of the questions were veiled questions about Mac Jones to see if they could get Shanahan or Lynch to tip their hands about who they are picking and they saw right through it and gave a bunch of vague non answers.

Saying they don't care if the fans hate the pick or not is pretty much the answer you're going to get from every GM and coach in the league. If they are picking a guy they believe in than they know if the guy performs like they are counting on the fans might hate the pick today but will be cheering it on if he's a success.

Jed feels the same way but I'm sure he's hoping Kyle picks Fields or Lance for financial reasons. If Jones is the pick it's going to be really tough to sell and market him to fans. The fanbase that actually wants him is small but most of the fanbase are going to begrudgingly cheer him on and hope for the best because they don't have a choice. I'd be curious to see his jersey sales if he's the pick because I imagine they are going to be low for a QB drafted 3rd overall and I don't think Kittle will have to worry about his jersey sale numbers being overtaken.

Ugh....it lines up with everything they've been saying for the past 6 months. It gives you a chance to role with Jimmy on a stacked roster one more yr (and increase his stock). Get lance in on some package plays in the RZ give him a couple live snaps.

Go trade Jimmy for 2 2nds in 2022/2023 like Alex Smith in KC. You got your high end talent that offers everything you want. He's run your damn offense, his football IQ is as high as anyone in this draft. Kyle for once listen to the scouts and FO. Listen to Adam Peters.
