Ugh....it lines up with everything they've been saying for the past 6 months. It gives you a chance to role with Jimmy on a stacked roster one more yr (and increase his stock). Get lance in on some package plays in the RZ give him a couple live snaps.

Go trade Jimmy for 2 2nds in 2022/2023 like Alex Smith in KC. You got your high end talent that offers everything you want. He's run your damn offense, his football IQ is as high as anyone in this draft. Kyle for once listen to the scouts and FO. Listen to Adam Peters.

I think this is how it pan's out. Trey is the pick, Jimmy stays for a year. They have too good a team this year to just throw a rookie into starting QB. I think this makes the most sense, and usually the simplest answer is the answer.

The locker room is going to be so pissed if Kyle comes in drafts Jones and throws him in to start after trading Jimmy. They all believe they're a SB winning caliber team especially after losing in 19' no quicker way to lose a locker room. Trey Lance makes way too much sense

What's even funnier is you can tell he LIKES this regime and would rather see them do well, but also understands the history here, the fanbase, and this draft situation... and is just laughing at it if they go Jones.

That press conference was about Thursday's draft and this slapdick asks a question about picking up McGlinchey's 5 yr option. Just so he has another talking point to use against ShanaLynch.

I agree. Add on that Mac seems to have a somewhat competitive/abrasive personality that draws comparison to Brady and you add an element that could divide a locker room if things don't go well. You almost have to get rid of Jimmy for pennies on the dollar if that's the case since the sunken cost in a Mac is three firsts and a third. Trey on the other hand seems to have a demeanor that will ingratiate him to his teammates. It's not that I think that Mac will not work out, but there's legit concerns in the vaunted mental dept. considering he was partying and getting DUIs during a stage in life that Lance was putting together upper first round talent tape.

I think Lance and Mac Jones are the fall guys. They have both only played 17 games and both of their teams were loaded with the dominant talent in their divisions.

While Fields just went through a gambit of the toughest coverages in college this past year.

You don't trade into the top 3 for a raw prospect especially if Jimmy isn't around

I have watched like 10 games of every offensive snap of Lance and I have no idea why he is anything more than a 4th rounder. Dak was a much better prospect. This kid has thrown under 300 balls during his college career. Although, he has played the same amount of games as Jones, Jones has thrown the ball over 2x as much. As far as a thrower or passer, Jones is simply better except for pure arm strength.

To be clear, I don't like Jones either. In watching the games, he is no where near as accurate as what PFF says. He is a better passer than Lance, but not amazing by any means. Frankly, I am going to puke if we take either Lance or Jones on Thursday.

IMO Fields is every bit the passer Jones is but with more arm talent. He also can run. He is the pick and I will be furious with either Lance or Jones.
