Well, except a Kap who can throw with touch, can run people over, who doesn't have a Gumby slow motion release, who did pro-style concepts in college instead of the pistol, and who is extremely advanced for a rookie at reading defenses pre-snap and making protection calls and audibles.
Come on, this is such a lazy take. How many games of Lance have you even watched?

Fields played in what is essentially a run and shoot offense. Lance dictated protections every pass and didn't look at the sideline to wait for the coaches to read the defense for him.
Don't get me wrong; I LOVE Fields. But Shanahan wants a guy that he doesn't have the train the basics to.
Thats what was said about Justin Herbert as well.

I do get the Kap vibes sometimes watching Lance. Doesn't mean he's the same player but he does love to rifle the majority of his passes.

Keep watching. You find the feathered touch passes. And besides, throwing hard and running are literally the only things they have in common. Kap was from a pistol offense. Kap didn't throw with touch — he really COULDN'T effectively. Lance will gun it a lot but he can float it.
As for mobility, they aren't even the same type of mobility. Lance is definitely more agile, and he runs people over. And in the pocket, he's more like Roethelisberger than Kap.
