It was obvious their goal was to continue to keep other teams guessing into who they plan on drafting.
Most of the questions were about Mac Jones or very obvious indirect questions about Mac Jones to see if Lynch or Shanahan would tip anything and Lynch and Shanahan saw right through them.
It doesn't matter if Mac Jones is the choice or not if you're goal is to keep people guessing you have to sell the idea that you could take Mac Jones and that's all I saw there.
Most of the answers were non answers or what else are they supposed to say answers.
That would make sense if there were unknown pics in front of us... Otherwise there is no strategic reason for the smoke screen.
The only thing that makes sense is if we move back some and want the narrative to be we are moving back a few spot to takes Jones and get some additional capital. Or if the Jets pick is not certain.

Nah, let's trade Jimmy while he's at a low point, for pennies on the dollar, and leave our Super Bowl contending roster helmed by a rookie. If this is the course we are taking, then I must be an idiot because I cannot see the strategic benefit of that. I'm sure our players, who've worked their asses off wouldn't want to see Jimmy leave. I seem to remember that it always takes guys a year to fully digest coach's playbook. So we're going to waste a year that of this talented roster?

Its funny because he's super mature, but he looks 15 lol. If Kyle and co really have him and Jones so close that its a back and forth, just take the chance on Lance man, it would be exciting.
