Every prospect has mechanical issues to work on. I don't see Lance as having worse mechanics (especially after working on them for 6 months) than Jones. Jones shuffles his feet and looks unathletic avoiding pressure and doesn't seem to have much velocity especially off platform. The ball will arrive about 2 yards sooner with all of the other prospects than Jones. That's something that should worry you A LOT because how the hell do you make Mac's arm stronger?

overall his footwork and throwing motion have improved a lot IMO

I still hope it's Fields and 49ers are just trolling all media right now(this is their biggest move to date...I can see them really locking down who they want for this one)

If it's not Fields then it HAS to be Lance. I don't care if Kyle is playing the "if you liked him at 12 you should like him at 3" BS card, you're giving up a LOT to get this guy. I just can't imagine Kyle's pulse on the league is that bad that he takes the guy almost everyone has as the 5th QB at #3 with that trade up. It's one thing to "reach" for a guy you think fits perfectly, it's another thing all together to trade a ton of draft capital to get to that spot to do it.

It's Fields or Lance...or we have a bigger problem than QB imo.

This won't be the 1st time Shanahan overruled his personnel department if he goes with Jones. That's not good. Assuming the reports of the schism are true.

Got to take the youngster Lance - he'll sit behind Jimmy for the year then you unleash him in 2022.

I don't even dislike Jones after watching a lot of him. I just love Lance and think he'll be a star on and off the field...and a guy where the marketing potential has just as high of an upside as his play on the field. His personality reminds me a bit of Russell Wilson.

Did you hear Lance say "That's the plan" on NFL Network yesterday when asked about playing with the 49ers....

Can someone show me some timed short and intermediate thrown from him? All ive seen are bombs to open recievers or off balance throws, or he's making kaep like runs. I don't need the madden stuff. Like pioli said, i need to see substance, not sizzle.

I would recommend either JTO's QB School videos which are really well done and I also like Hammer's evaluations.

This is a video with Cohn where he and Hammer go over the Delaware game which is a good choice if you want to see a variety of throws because he has 23 attempts in this game:

I watched the first quarter against central arkansas. I've never seen anything more horrible in my life.

1. Bullet pass incomplete
2. Overthrown bomb to a wr who didn't have a defender 50 yards from him
3. Strip sack fumble
