The draft is always a crapshoot. Projecting who a player is today vs who they will be in 3 years and how their game will translate to the NFL has always been more art than science.

I don't even know why Mac is considered the most pro-ready?

yeah, in some ways Lance is more pro ready than Jones. Lance did more on his own at the line of scrimmage while Jones had to keep looking at the sidelines.. and Lance came from more pro style offense and was under center more than Jones.

Joe Williams. When Kyle pounds the table for someone... run.. reminds me of Al Davis, always smarter than everyone in the room.

Didn't Al push really hard for Jamarcus Russell?

1. Bullet pass incomplete
2. Overthrown bomb to a wr who didn't have a defender 50 yards from him
3. Strip sack fumble

That was a bad game. Did you watch any others? There's a ton of good film. If I judged Fields solely based on his Northwestern game I would think he sucks.

I have. He has some nice throws and I can see the possibility of him being very good. But it's a huge gamble especially with the 3rd pick.

also a huge gamble to take McKorkle Jones who has the lowest ceiling of any QB, and passing on the guy (Lance) who has the highest upside and will be a superstar!

Looking at all three guys, they all have their strengths and weaknesses. I don't see how anyone can have such string conviction with one over the other. Preference I get, but to totally wrote off one just doesn't make sense to me. All three can be busts and all three can be very good. This has been my main problem with this trade and the amount invested.

Hmmmm this got me thinking it's trey lance. If they were truly undecided for a while then I think they ended up going with Lance. Probably a lot more Ready to play now than they thought plus the upside of arm strength and mobility.
yeah, and 'the smartest QB in the draft'... How can you pass on this guy? He is going to be GREAT!

Al Davis 1st round picks:

Rickey Dudley: #9
Sebastian Janikowski: #17
JaMarcus Russell: #1
Darrius Heyward-Bey: #7

I am hoping if Jones is the pick I am wrong and he becomes a superstar top 5 QB, but I just don't see it. Hoping for Lance, and if not Lance then Fields.
Trigger Trey 5 49er jersey, we a day away !
Anybody see the QB Show on CBS Sports Net last night with Simms and Beuerlein? It was a pretty nice deep dive into the top QB's in the draft.
PHIL Simms believes Lance is more pro-ready than he's given credit for. I've heard this point made from other pundits this week. FWIW.

I'm ready to get mine too!
The closer we get to the pick, the more momentum this kid gains as the potential pick. Would be just fine with taking Lance as our current and future franchise QB.

its all psychological, we have no idea lol It would be funny if it were Lance since he has had the least discussion around here by far.
