Draft Lance and keep Jimmy for another year whilst using Lance for certain packages to get his feet wet would be the Ideal situation Imo.

I just pray the Niners F.O make the right decision when It's all said and done..

And you are assuming Mac Jones will win. Seriously? Based on Shanny's record on his pick of QBs? I wouldn't hold my breath. But, winning is not enough, Mac Jones will need to win multiple Super Bowls. Plus, you better hope and pray Lance or even Fields will bust out. If they become lethal mobile QBs, the fan base will never forget how Shanahan refused to take them.

People assume that Jones is a better fit for Kyle's system because he was accurate and got rid of the ball quickly in college. That doesn't mean that Lance or Fields can't get more accurate once they're in the NFL. Josh Allan improved every year since he's been at Buffalo. Even Jackson has improved for the Ravens. He's still not a great passer but he's gotten better. Jones can't improve his athleticism or arm strength.

Cocker said Jimmy threw to his first read almost 80% of the time...kyle its scheme dudes open. If Lance is as football smart as everyone says the difference in "accuracy" isn't that big of a deal. He will improve with more reps as well he's a pup

He and Fields are both built like Safety/LB hybrids. The boot action/zone read/RPO stapes in the Shanahan playbook could have new dimensions with Lance or Fields.

The bolded is one reason I'm against Mac. We might have improved our o-line but Mac won't have the same protection he did in college and he's built like the Michelin Man. Tom Brady was too, but he's the exception not the rule. Mac took less sacks but if he gets rag dolled by Aaron Donald he's probably going to break a bone.

Agreed. They should bring in Lance or Fields and start Jimmy. Let the Rook get some playtime in the fourth quarter for mop up duty.
What is the worse that can happen? Jimmy gets hurt (or sucks) and we bring the rook in early? We would at least still have hope left.
Jimmy guides us to a Superbowl win? Well next offseason would be damn interesting if that happened.

Word around the league is and has been the the trade was made with Jones in mind, but lately scouting department has possibly swayed Shanny to Lance. I don't buy any of that for a second. That would mean there are many leaks coming from there. If there ARE leaks, it is misinformation. Fields is the pick.
