No Lance not Fields

His processor is better than Jones'. He can be a fullback at the 5 yard line. It's not really close. 55 yarder going the other way

This is hilariously wrong. Trey's processor is one of his biggest concerns. We discussed it way back in the thread. He has too many instances on tape where he doesn't see the field well.

I'll tell what Mac can make: this one. He won't miss a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide open hitch route in front of his face. For whatever inexplicable reason, Trey opts to pass on the wide-open hitch to his TE and goes to the wide side of a field for significantly harder throw, a worse option and what would be a 100% INT in the NFL. These are the type of plays that are red flags. Is he seeing the field well? I'm not sure.

Cover 3. That's pretty obvious. But Trey Lance never even bothers to try to move the centerfield safety after the PA. He stares down the seam route from the jump. I don't have access to the all-22, but I've seen these plays before from that angle. They're significantly worse. I've got more red flag plays. Why doesn't anyone cover them?

Trey Lance was rarely under pressure, so this one is a bit alarming. UCA blitz 0. Where's your hot? Why are you looking left? His hot is the shallow route coming from the right. Why are you looking to the opposite side? Dude drops his eyes under pressure and just bails...

Do you have any legitimate sources on this or just three randomly selected clips and your opinion? Do you think someone couldn't do this exact same thing to any of the QB prospects? I have watched game breakdowns of every QB and there's a few missed reads in pretty much every single game.

Why do we keep bringing up a glorified scrimmage? Lance couldn't even practice for over a week because his roommate had Covid.

IMO this kid is more prepared to play in the NFL then Allen was coming out.

Because it's there on tape. And if he's staring down throws or missing wide-open receivers in the NFL, we're going to say, "Oh yeah, that was there on tape. We just chose to ignore that."

I think this is it folks. We're getting lance. People have been pointing towards lance in the final hours. John and Adam might have persuaded Kyle. Probably stroked his ego telling him he's so good he can make lance into mahomes 2.0

JTO has no issue with his processing. He thinks he can come in an play...the league is different now and these kids can roll out of the gate with the right coaching staff and roster.

he also said Jones' processing is good but has been greatly exaggerated. We can find gotcha moments and screen grabs of all these kids f**king up.

It SHOULD be about what they can be in a yr or two...not who's the most pro-ready day 1. This is a long-term investment not a second contract FA.

Referee blocks his hot target. This is probably not the best example of a bad play, in my opinion.

Half of these plays would have been touchdowns if Lance had Waddle and Smith.

That game would have been the NFL equivalent to the 1st preseason scrimmage. I remember Garoppolo throwing 5 straight picks in one preseason scrimmage....It's not nothing but I wouldn't read too much into it.

That's not a good excuse. UCA is tipping blitz before the snap, so he should know he's going to his hot. But he immediately looks left at the snap when his hot is on his right. Is he trying to look off the blitz? There's no excuse for this. This is Jimmy G-esque.
