Don't do it! Lol you're guaranteed to lose money on every result unless Fields is the pick at +500. Then you win 200 dollars.

This is hilariously wrong. Trey's processor is one of his biggest concerns. We discussed it way back in the thread. He has too many instances on tape where he doesn't see the field well.

I'll tell what Mac can make: this one. He won't miss a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide open hitch route in front of his face. For whatever inexplicable reason, Trey opts to pass on the wide-open hitch to his TE and goes to the wide side of a field for significantly harder throw, a worse option and what would be a 100% INT in the NFL. These are the type of plays that are red flags. Is he seeing the field well? I'm not sure.

Cover 3. That's pretty obvious. But Trey Lance never even bothers to try to move the centerfield safety after the PA. He stares down the seam route from the jump. I don't have access to the all-22, but I've seen these plays before from that angle. They're significantly worse. I've got more red flag plays. Why doesn't anyone cover them?

Trey Lance was rarely under pressure, so this one is a bit alarming. UCA blitz 0. Where's your hot? Why are you looking left? His hot is the shallow route coming from the right. Why are you looking to the opposite side? Dude drops his eyes under pressure and just bails...

Response: "He was just a young, young puppy, so what if he plays like Ray Charles out on the field, he took snaps under center AND he played with a fullback!"

Lance has both the biggest upside in this draft and the biggest odds of being largely non-functional at the NFL level due to his accuracy issues and struggles reading even subpar defenses at the FCS level.

Fields has very similar upside but also a higher floor. I think Mac Jones at worst has a Ryan Fitzpatrick sort of arc but Lance to me is the guy that can be a Bortles or Trubisky where by the end of his rookie contract you'd be happy if he can just hold down a backup gig.

and 10 bucks on Wilson to hedge

It's reported that he's had a lot of work done to his mechanics since he's played last so it's tough to completely evaluate him from his 2019 tape because a lot of his accuracy issues could be mostly fixed by the time the season starts.

I know the 9ers and Shanahan won't select him if his accuracy is the same as it is on his 2019 tape. If he's the pick it'll be because they feel it's an issue that can be fixed with improved mechanics.

It's not just mechanics, it's seeing the entire field. With as few throws as he had, the number of times where he flat out didn't see open receivers and forced it elsewhere or simply threw it late is disconcerting.

Maybe that improves with time and practice, maybe it doesn't. It sure didn't for Garoppolo, Goff and Kaepernick.

Ray Charles holds the record for passing touchdowns without an interception?

Lmao y'all don't have to tear down the other prospects to prop up your favorite.

Lance sees the field the worst of the top QBs but they all are special in that area imo.

You must not gamble much. There's no money to be made with that bet. You're either losing money or breaking even at best. No matter which QB is taken.

So does Garoppplo and people want him out.

He played under center and such. Believe it or not he will have an easier adjustment then Fields.

He played like 50 or 60 more snaps under center. We're not talking about a massive gap.

50 or 60 snaps in games, but how many reps in practice? I'd imagine hundreds more since he had two full seasons of practice plus whatever they got in in 2020. That would indeed be a massive gap.

Not even close. Try again.
So if we draft Lance, he won't even play until we have another 1st round pick? Pass. I thought the whole point behind moving up was to have a less expensive QB while we still have a Super Bowl roster. Sitting him for 2 years defeats the purpose.
