Jimmy for a yr and trade him in 2022, Lance played in a pro-style offense in college...it's not gonna take him 2 yrs to figure it out. You gotta take advantage of those rookie QB contracts and getting Jimmy off the books is part of that.

I can live with a Jimmy/Lance situation. I have and issue with the cap space and what they do in 2021 under this scenario. I also think they will have to move up for Lance as well. I can't see him getting past the Panthers. He's a Rule type of QB.

Good to see that your coming around to my thinking, NY.

this was always a scenario...issue is money. How you paying the guys you want to bring back and upgrade with Jimmy's contract on the books? Finances don't work out.

Rivers just retired so that's yet another QB needy team added to the mix. There is no way we can stay at 12 and expect Lance to be there either.
I'm still on for drafting Lance if shanny thinks he can turn him into a stud.

I'm still not there, all teams will see Lance as a project, most will just see huge risk (I think we'll fall into this category). Tough to trade assets for that.

Given the draft slots, level of risk and rosters ahead, I only see Carolina as a realistic landing spot.

I personally think the Falcons, Eagles, Lions, Broncos and Giants should all do it, but really don't think any of them will.

Could someone maybe leapfrog us and jump into #10 or #11 giving up a 2nd? Yeah maybe, but I think it's worth waiting it out.

Def agree! But the ceiling is exciting for sure

QBs move up regardless...I don't see how he makes it past the Panthers unless another QB drops or them move up for a different QB.

I'll be shocked if he's there at 12, I would scoop him up and let him sit for a yr.
I still am not entirely convinced on how high he'll go in the draft. He's got the talent, but being so raw and needing time to adjust, I don't know if he's going to go super high.

He won't imo. Dropping further than some think.

Throw in no combine & no personal workouts.

Reasonable. I mean if Lance is ready sooner rather than later than all the more better. Jimmy has a relatively team friendly contract compared to other big qb contracts, but if we do go qb getting rid of him asap would be ideal. I think one of the best ways to win a bowl is to get a stud qb in a rookie contract and just stack talent before you gotta pay the guy big money.

I'm just worried about the lack of starts in his collegiate career. I know this is not his fault but that matters. we have a good enough team though to cover up some growing pains but fans, especially here, get impatient. Hopefully our fans go easy on our young qb if we do get QB.
Kid has been training nonstop

Kids got some juice on that

Wouldn't mind a small trade up for this kid
Awesome, if he's going to keep working like that I'm much happier.

I think his ceiling may be the highest in the class, and I'm including Trevor, the work ethic will give him a better chance of getting there.

I'm onto Fields now, early but I do like him. I think I'd prefer to draft Wilson or Fields, but when you factor in trade cost it makes it interesting.

The backfoot load up is still there but already much smaller, liking what I'm seeing out of the kid.

Best footwork in the class for me.
I wish there was a list of these QB prospects and what camps they've been to the past couple yrs?

Kyle and literally half of our offensive staff takes part in the QB collective camp the past couple yrs.

https://www.qbcollective.com/about

It's a great way to see what these young QBs have and spend time with them. The only QB that I know for sure that's been to this camp is Fields (because I've see the pics).

Does anyone have any idea if Lance/Wilson/Jones etc have taken part?
