This. Cincy passing up an elite franchise left tackle prospect after their rookie QB got absolutely destroyed doesn't make any sense.

Yeah I don't agree with that, his point for doing that (for whatever reason) is there are some legit OT prospects that can be had at the top of the 2nd as well.

The Fields dropping is similar to what DJ and McShay were saying earlier as well as well.

I like both so I'm fine with either.

Well it would be a very Bengals move. When has drafting a TE in the top 10 ever worked out for any team? Serious question. And don't say Vernon Davis. I'm talking about team building not individual success

If Trey Lance ends up being better than Justin Fields you should fire yourself from this website?

Same can be said about WR mostly.

But to his credit, I think Pitts kind of transcends the trend a bit. He's one of a kind. Nevertheless, you don't pass on what looks like an elite tackle for him.

As the Stones once said, we all need someone we can cream on....

According to Jack Hammer, Lance has trouble throwing to a wr when there's someone in his line of sight between him and that WR. He also appears to decide where he's going with the ball presnap and then just tries to take off if it's not there.

He also has a stiff lower body when throwing, leading to erratic deep accuracy.

The little I've watched of him suggests Mr Hammer is right.

No way do I pick a mobile Jimmy at 12.

Dude f**k Jack Hammer lol that guy is a trash....sorry if that's you but still, there's nothing he says that leads me to believe he's a knowledgeable football mind.

His footwork is not even remotely close to Jimmy's. Ever think that "appearing" to go with the ball pre-snap is the play call? People were saying the same s**t about Herbert last yr. Mahomes half reads at Texas Tech as well....Scheme that they play in doesn't always define who they are.

nothing stiff about his throwing motion IMO

calls all the protections

Here's you ball placement

Lol.

We can only go by what is seen, and what is seen suggests Fields is more ready for a pro offense. They are both immensely talented physically, but Fields has more consistent accuracy and doesn't do the one-read thing as much.

I don't really call Pitts a true TE...he's a big slot WR that can block if needed. He's just another weapon for Burrow. I mean I would think they would got OT for sure though.

Yeah better not, Your boy Jones wasn't even in the 1st rd

Lance said in this mock this is what he thinks teams will do, not what he would do.
Wow that's the lowest I've seen Fields, does that need to be a new conversation, or is it just pairing him with the Pats for fun?

As much as I love Lance I think I'd have to take Fields over him.

The only one I'm sure isn't going to be picked above us is Micah Parsons, not playing and these character concerns will ruin him.
Should be a stud around at #12 regardless.

It's not me, and at this point I haven't done my QB binge watching yet, but so far I have not been particularly impressed with Lance.

For one, he's not particularly consistent with his accuracy. Jimmy can drop the occasional dime too. But how often is he off the mark? Two, he DOES seem to do the "one-read" thing way too much.

JTO wasn't too impressed with him either (pointed out some good things, but also inconsistent accuracy and bad field vision), and I'd take his analysis over anyone's.

But ultimately, we're not discussing if he might become a good QB some day. We're discussing if he's better than Fields as a prospect. Which to me is laughable.
