I agree Hero, that's just not something we're going to find out. I just want Kyle to meet him and decide whether or not he has it.

Possibly the biggest mistake he's made in his career is not sitting down with Mahomes. Reid & Payton did (more because he was supposed to go late first) and both fell in love enough to offer future 1st round picks to get him.

Agreed, Kyle has even stated that's the most important process in evaluating them...getting to sit down talk and pick their brain. Film is there, they can study that all day every day. IF they have that "it" factor then you go all in and get them.

While I'm still really iffy on Lance because he seems so boom or bust to me, he at least seems to show he's got the work ethic you'd need to be successful in the NFL. He's got the raw ability, the athleticism, and he's willing to work. Like many, I agree that he's going to have a learning curve and adjustment period.

I'm not entirely sold on him, but, I won't be crying if we take him. Early on, I could see plenty of things Shanahan would like. I just hope we take the right guy in the end. We've gotta dip into this class. Too much talent along with questions at the position on this team to not do so.
So I would love to hear your opinion on what YOU think Lynch would/should do if Jones, Lance and maybe even Fields are all on the board at 12. Maybe you still take Surtain if there, or the big tackle? I have enjoyed your takes for years. Thanks.

I think if they have all players graded similarly, they will trade down. Judging by their history, they probably wouldn't trade down too far because they'll still want to get their top guy.

Honestly, I think that would be the right move here. We need more picks to revamp the OL, secondary, and edge depth. Adding a playmaker or two on offense couldn't hurt either. Trading down in that situation still gets us a potential QB of the future, while providing the resources to restock those other areas. We seem intent on trying to build the most balanced team possible, and I think that's a good idea. We just need to make sure we get guys that are durable...

They have 10 picks currently

If they trade down from #12 then they would be in position to trade back up depending on what they get. They have 3 #5s so they mght be able to end up with something like 3 second rounders and a 3rd or a late first and 2 seconds.

Rather have the QB all day.
This guy might be our only real option.
Mac Jones is another option...Man, aside from not running a 4.5 forty, he looks pretty good to me.

268 yards with 4 TDs and 2 turnovers against a garbage team. Not that impressive. Believe it or not, I don't care about the numbers. But after seeing him hyped up on this website, I thought the highlights provided would blow me away.

He's clearly very talented, but I'm not seeing Mahomes combined with baby Jesus quite yet.

Hyped up? We're just talking about prospects...man did Lance run over your dog or something?

If his dog was one of those linebackers or corners in the highlight package, then yes

Reminds me of a less agile Lamar Jackson with inconsistent accuracy, Downfield as well. Me personally, I'm sick and tired of holding my breath whenever our qbs throw deep. So many teams don't have this problem and I don't ever want to deal with that again. Helped cost us a SB. IMO, qbs chances of improving accuracy is so rare. Josh Allen seems like the exception

Completed 67% of his passes and had 28tds and zero INTs in his last (and only) season as a starter.

Where are you getting that he's some inaccurate Lamar jackson prospect?

if he was a 4 yr starter and was sub 60 completion % then I would be worried about his accuracy much more. He's 20 yrs old lol. Dude is just scratching the surface imo. Where he goes is gonna be super important to who he becomes.

He's black and he can run

That's literally the only thing I can think of lol. Not even remotely the same offensive schemes in Louisville vs NDST.

like I said he's only 20. Not sure how people don't expect him to improve with the proper coaching staff and snaps. He's literally scratching the surface.
