Sooner or later you have to sleep in the bed you made. Lynch and shanny made this bed and now it's time to sleep in it.

People around here are getting way too comfy losing.
Everything is a risk, it's a HUGE risk to assume Jimmy is gonna stay healthy a full yr, let alone play well for a full season. He get's hurt and you have no legit backup or some sort of long-term plan, that's a reason for a firing just as well..... SF misses out on another group of QBs that turn into FQBs because they're afraid of taking a risk, IMO is just as big a reason to get fired if we're going down that road.
Yes, everything is a risk. Apply basic risk assessment. I'm not saying we should go into 2021 fully depending on Jimmy. You can sign/trade/draft someone else to replace him or put behind him. But you know what's ironic part about this statement with this? That's exactly what we'd be doing if we drafted Trey Lance because he wouldn't help us in 2021. Jimmy goes down, and this dude will get exposed. 318 career pass attempts. No, not college attempts in 1 season--career. That's since high school LOL. Not sure how anyone expects this dude to be playing anytime soon.
I see what you're saying Hero, but taking an undersized Ojulari probably doesn't help much more next year.
We will be better next year if healthier, regardless of the draft.
I get what you're saying about losing seasons but the 1st 2 just don't count, awful team, and a season ending QB injury, so it's a Superbowl year and one disappointing injury hit year, not panic stations.
Trey Lance is the perfect risk/reward selection IMO, Jimmy insurance and potential massive upgrade, and the only one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Side note, the game this year wasn't that bad, about 2 missed throws and 2 drops from a very nice game.

Funny you mentioned this. Looking through the draft since 2010, QBs picked in the top 5 haven't panned out. 2018-2020 QBs top 5 picks still TBD.

I'm not even talking about top 5, I'm talking about using just more than 1st rd pick in over 20 yrs.

Agree, it has been awhile, since we picked a QB in the first round.

I'm not against drafting a QB at 12 or in the first in general. My original point was that the mock drafted posted on the previous page stinks, which it does(and not because of Trey).

Just heard on Moving the Chains (SiriusXM) with Pat Kirwin and Jim Miller and they were talking with Phil Simms about this QB class. Phil said he hasn't watch a lot of film but said Trey Lance was a 3rd rounder and Pat kind of agreed. Said it would be 2 years before a team would reap any benefits from him.
He said he is big and strong but didn't see a lot of great QB throws especially in tight windows. Admitted he's only watched 1 full game from 2019 and said his opinion may change when he watches more film.
just thought I'd share.

It's not acceptable at all, but personally speaking, I'd be a little confused why Lynch would be the scapegoat here. Because everyone in the fanbase knows that Kyle gets final say at the end of the day on these guys. So I am not really sure what firing Lynch accomplishes. Unless the idea is to get a GM with full roster control.

Well, it's pretty simple. Someone has to take the blame for 4 seasons of losing, and if Kyle doesn't turn it around after that, someone has to do the dirty job of firing Kyle if we keep losing.
And the man to do the dirty work is in the building. I've always believed that Jed's longterm goal is to make Paraag, his most trusted ally and right-hand man, general manager. He'll gladly clean house for the Yorks if things get messy. People forget this is still the York-owned 49ers. Don't get lulled into safety.

Lynch and Shanny aren't going anywhere. Thank god. Hero I look to your thoughts more than most around here. This time I disagree. Or maybe I'm reading this incorrectly. Not sure

Not sure what Pablo Escobar has to do with the 49ers. Maybe it's just me. These videos and Gif's are weak. Just say what you mean, not sure what a "gif" does to support your thoughts. It just shows you don't know how to communicate properly
