Lance shouldn't start for anyone this season, but he can have some packages for him like how the Ravens brought Lamar in with Flacco starting.

He can still bet on himself by going somewhere else and proving he's the guy. Even if we trade him, we are still on hook for about 10 mil. So even if another team asks him to reduce his contract a bit, he's still gonna make pretty much the same amount this year, whether he's here or somewhere else.

I see very little reason for Jimmy wanting to stay. He has more to risk that way. If he starts out poorly and gets benched, that's pretty much it for him getting any kind of a decent contract. And that's basically how it works 99% of the time when you draft a rookie QB and the vet struggles. Heck, even when they play well they can still get benched for the rookie (Fitzpatrick last year with the Dolphins).

I hope he finishes his pro day by doing what Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen did and uncork an 80+ yard bomb. I think he has that type of arm.

I'm convinced this dude is shilling. 49ers must love Trey Lance for Simms to be shilling this hard. While I agree with a lot of what he's saying(been saying this same stuff), it just seems like he's going way overboard to shoot down anything positive about Trey Lance lol.

That's a terrible breakdown for me, you don't ding people for things that aren't their fault.

I'm surprised that after he said that he isn't ready next year (I agree) that he didn't talk about all the other QB's who sat for a year or 2 and then had huge success.

He had to correct himself when he started saying the he can't function in a dropback offense, to then say oh we haven't seen it yet.

I'm telling you that is based on stereotyping, either with black QB's, mobile ones, run first however, it's still judging someone on what you believe about others. That's no bueno.
