I think you may be right. If for no other reason the competition and limited film might push him down. Wilson is just getting too much exposure. I wouldn't be mad at it if it was Lance.

When Lance has his pro-day and kills the combine...it's gonna be like Josh Allen. His ceiling is higher than Wilson's IMO. I guess in depends on what a team is looking for.

I still think the top 3 will be Lawrence/Fields/Lance then Wilson. I'm fine with that

I'm good with it as well. To your point, he may crush the combine and pro-day. We have such limited tape and info on the guy. Could hurt him. Could help him. I doubt at this point though any of these guys get out of the top 10.
I'm starting to think that he will slide down further than some people think too. With where we will be drafting it would not surprise me if he becomes an option.
I think Shanahan will like a lot about Trey Lance. Wilson, Mac Jones, and Lance all check various Shanahan boxes.

Yeah I think Wilson and Lance playaction passes from under center will give Shanahan

I don't know if this was posted, but it looks informative

Really not a ton to see there. The lack of film to really study Trey Lance is maddening! I actually found JTO's breakdown of Zack Wilson's tape a bit more interesting.

We hear this about a quarterback every year. Not saying you're wrong, but it seems like every draft I'm hearing about a generational qb who ends up being mediocre as hell.

There's QBs that get hyped each draft class but a guy like Lawrence is in a class all to himself. Luck was the last prospect that was this well regarded. Lawrence gives you everything. Size, athleticism, a big arm, pocket presence, mobility and has shown up big in some huge games.

No guarantee that he'll succeed in the NFL level but he's a very high level prospect.

Often overused but yeah, Lawrence rightly deserves to be included in the "generational college QB" category of Luck, Manning and Elway types. All the boxes have been checked and there arent many unanswered questions.

This is such a weird year, Lance's decision to opt out this year may lead him to drop a little as a prospect. Unless the Niners go the veteran QB route, they should invest in the future this year.

Opt out? The whole team isn't playing
