Either the search function is as horrible as it seems, or my guy Rousseau has been extremely disrespected on this forum.
There are some I'm sure thinking "Oh No,...NOT another 1st round DLineman",...but keep in mind we'll have to wait to see how Bosa's rehab turns out, and Dee Ford is still out, collecting huge pre-retirement checks from us.
You know our M.O.,...so don't be surprised if this kid ends up on our radar should we end up 8-8ish.
So who is he? @ 6'6", 260ish,... He's in the Aldon Smith mold,...a lanky, uber-athletic kid that was leading Chase Young for parts of the latter stages of 2019 in sacks. And that was as a RS FRESHMAN!
Not happy and not fully sure about him opting out of this year,...but if Bosa could in a non-Covid year, then I guess he can too. Hopefully he drops a few spots and we're within range for him, thought it might be wishful thinking.

Yeah, I don't mind an Edge and then OL along with CB the rest of the draft.

We should be drafting pass rushers as often as possible. They don't necessarily need to be first rounders, but I think past round 3 the odds that you're going to draft someone good are slim to none. Someone like CHASE WINOVICH would be ideal.

I'm not ready for the amount of hatred we will get defending another defensive lineman in the first.

Unless we're drafting top 10 we won't have a chance to get him anyway. I know NC would have a fit lol

I think top 10 is a real possibility with how good our division is right now.
At least no division opponent of ours has a first-round pick.
I like NC but I really want to see that happen lol

They're are 14 teams with 1 or less wins. 6 (including us that are 2-2) I don't see SF having a top 10 pick.
Lol I'd like to see what NC would do too
Personally if we're drafting that high I'm moving down or going all in on a QB if we really love one.

If 49ers are drafting in the top 10 with a healthy Jimmy G. and the team he has now, I'm going ALL in on Trevor Lawrence!!!!! I'm throwing whatever I can to get the #1 overall pick, even if that meant trading one of the best players not named Nick Bosa!!!!

I'm with you Kolohe, but we'd have to trade a sh*tload of draft picks and we don't have any tradeable players. The problem is we have too many holes. We have no cap room.
Sure, we could get rid of players. Cut Kwon and insert Dre Greenlaw. Jimmy would be replaced by Trevor. But we'd still have holes along the interior O-line, edge rush, and secondary.
But if they could figure it out and make it happen I'll be cheering right there alongside with you.

Bumping this up. We might be in a position to draft him. And knowing our history I guess we shouldn't be surprised if we do.
Looks like he has a high ceiling. Would he be a good fit?

There's a good chance he may be the BPA when we pick, and we need a twitchy edge guy for sure. I would be on board.
But I gotta say, I'm hesitant on any player who opted out this year. I'm only 32 but I'm as old school as they come. Especially in this case where he could've made Miami as good as they've been in 15 years. I want guys who live and breath football and who are good teammates. Not guys looking to preserve themselves for the next contract.
