It's so weird people getting upset with PFF stats, yet they have no problem using them (or any other analytical stat) when it's about something else...we can't pick and choose when it matters. Like I said all these QBs have their warts.
As well his 2019 stats were unreal. If we were judging the QBs off 19, Mac and Wilson wouldn't be part of the conversation for 3. The media guys dont seem to mention that when they are comparing the prospects.

Oh, there is a myriad of reasons not to trust them. Look no further than their grades for Fred Warner in 2019 and 2020. They had him graded as a backup LB through most of 2019, but once they realized the league recognized Fred Warner was fantastic, they began to drastically change their grades for him, especially in 2020. Anyone with a brain realizes Fred didn't go from a backup player in 2019 to an elite LB in 2020. The dude was already playing at a high level in 2019. PFF clearly wasn't watching the tape.

I have no doubt PFF makes s**t up. Maybe not all of their grades are made up, but there are 100% fabricated grades mixed in.

I remember a few years back they gave I think joe Staley a good grade and it was mentioned to him. He said that's great, but then said their analysis of some of the plays had his responsibilities completely wrong lol said they have no way of knowing unless Kyle handed them the plays for that week etc.
If we dont draft Fields and draft Jones, its gonna be like passing on Rodgers all over again.

This would be worse and even worse than 2017. We gave up 2 future 1st and 3rd as well as using this pick
I've never seen so many 49er uniform photoshops for a draft prospect. Dude is on every single 49er IG page. I'm starting to believe Justin Fields is the most fans' consensus 49er pick that I've seen in the 15ish years that I've been following the draft.

Bosa was like 80%+ just he wasn't a QB so it's not as polarizing

And there wasn't as big a gap in talent between Q. Williams and Bosa as there is Fields and Mac.

I don't have IG or any of that stuff, really hope that everyone is filling Lynch up with it or whoever else decision makers accounts with it

Bingo. Consider the age and knowledge of those asked to essentially count data points based on PFF's own operational definitions. And that's the foundation of ALL the work after that...their advanced stats. All based on counting points by a 20 year old entry level Madden fan with ADHD and a lot of distractions in mom's basement.

Ironic coming from someone commenting on a 49ers message board.

I'm not the one creating grades for others to lean on. That's not meant to fully discredit. In cases where less subjectivity comes into play, no worries. There's value in everything.

That's actually the genius behind PFF.

NC you're not allowed to use any analytical stats going forward...I don't want to hear about PBWR, QB hits, pressure % TTT etc

I mean how do we know what they're really watching? How do we know who's making up those numbers....Could be some booger picker that knows nothing about football?

Haha.. I'll just post both sides as that's the beauty of PFF in particular. There's a "grade" for everyone.
Another athletic QB getting hurt on a long base and slow processing/delivery and running around off schedule.
