Yeah, it did - Fields is getting exposed.

Lawrence just threw an INT guess he's not going #1 either

Wilson is not a better QB prospect than fields.

Fields doesn't have arm talent - he's a running Qb, only.

First you say you don't watch Warrior games now this 😂

I didn't say I don't watch Warrior games - I said I haven't been watching.

Prescott sure has, but as you may recall when he came out of college he was viewed as an RPO guy that needs time to develop.

I didn't like Haskins coming out. I like Hurts and think he was a great pick for Philly. Leaving Bama really allowed him to focus on his passing and it paid off. I felt SD would pick him in the 1st.

Field is a project IMO. He's a great athlete and can keep the chains moving with his legs. That's invaluable in today's NFL. I think he lacks the ability to press the ball downfield and that's not something you want from a 1st rounder, especially a top-10 pick and a guy intended to carry a franchise.

Call BS on both of those statements.

Fields is not a project... he's just NOT ready yet if he comes out..

as I've been saying, he's very talented and is playing for a team which is already head and shoulder better than most teams they played.. it ain't like that in the NFL..

.. and I field bad for all the young QBs that Ohio State was lead to believe that they are better than what they really are.. Cardale was supposed to be the LEBRON JAMES of college football.. then HASKINS was graded basically from his great performance against a very very OVERRATED MICHIGAN DEFENSE...

I hope Fields stay so that he can have another season under his belt because he's just not ready..

I agree he needs to stay and develop. This shortened season didn't do him justice. I just can't see the value in a guy like Fields at #2 (according to most pundits) or someone like Desmond Ridder much later in the draft.

... and I have the same reason why I can't justify that Lance is a first rounder.. the full year he played, he showed some light, but he also ran ran and ran... and if you judge him from that season alone, he falls on that category of a " SYSTEM QB " ... similar to Mariota and Kyle Murray.. .. and I'm not sure if he is any better than GB's first rounder in LOVE...

... if it was up to me, I'd advice both kids to stay and gain more experience.. but of course, devils advocate will also tell them to GET THEIR MONEY KNOW BEFORE THEIR STOCKS GOES DOWN..

The first statement is a exaggeration because people in here are so instant with there assessments

And yes Fields is a better prospect then Wilson.

Still think Wilson is the best QB after Trevor. Jones is having a strong season and forcing people to take notice.

Fields reminds me of Haskins, Hurts and Prescott. They're mobile, nice poise, great intangibles, and know how to win, but you question whether their arm talent and ability to win from the pocket can be enough in the NFL.

Um, yeah the whole statement is weird. Haskins was not particularly mobile at Ohio State at all. Cardale Jones was not particularly fast but had Big Ben type running ability. Haskins looked kind of like a bigger, even more awkward Peyton Manning running at some times. Conversely, no one doubted his arm at all.

I also don't think too many scouts, if any, question the arm talent of Fields. Which isn't to say he's a pocket master or anything. But there really aren't any concerns that i know of about the arm. The Hurts and Prescott comparison is valid at least probably coming into their respective drafts.

OSU winning despite Fields under center. Sermon and the defense look great today.

Fields trying his best to move into the 2nd round... where he should be anyway

That pass D is playing lights out. Missing their top WR and no one is getting open.

Yea armchair scouts should try watching the game and not box score stats. It wasnt his best showing , but facing a top 5 secondary without your number 1 wr might cause some problems

What gets me is not a single scout, that I know of, questions his arm talent. No one is saying he's Brett Favre or Josh Allen. But there's a reason guys like that are rare in terms of arm talent. But the armchair scouts are smarter, I guess.

Look, I'm an Ohio State fan. Live in Ohio... hence the name. Obviously didn't play that well today. Also obviously not under the most normal of circumstances playing a great defense, lots of guys missing from the team and kind of the yo-yo effect of not even qualifying for the BIG Championship game based on 3 cancelled games only for the BIG to change their own rules. Heck- 3 cancelled games. Not easy to stay your sharpest if you aren't playing live games.

Those aren't just excuses. I already said he didn't play that well.

I do wonder if Sermon made himself some money today and actually earned a draft slot.

Well the possibility of Wilson going 2nd overall before Fields just grew.

Agree.

Which actually again just emphasizes how Wilson might be the ultimate boom or bust prospect- or one of them.

Barely on the draft radar coming into the year and shooting up the boards this year. That's great for him. But it seemed great for guys like Akili Smith and Mitchell Tribusky as well. Not saying Wilson is those guys. It just amazes me how some folks here given that don't even think about pumping the brakes on him a little bit.

I think as much as anything the person matters as much as anything. Not to say all players have to be Mr. Nice. But what I mean is Josh Allen was that boom or bust prospect and the Bills thoroughly examined the person and believed he would do everything to put in the work to be the best player he could be as well as represent the franchise the right way. That's why he has made this rather startling leap forward, imo.

If Wilson is that type of guy maybe he will be a star in the NFL. Time will tell- on all players obviously.
3 words.. ONE MORE YEAR
When everything is said and done Zach Wilson will be the 2nd QB taken.

He may not have an Allen/Mahomes/Stafford level arm but this is ridiculous. I can't speak to today's game because I only saw bits and pieces of it but every time I watch Fields I am wowed by his ball placement. He absolutely has arm talent.
