You've brought up Tua 150 times in the Mac Jones thread. A rookie who is coming off one a gruesome leg but it's fair game to note his struggles. Don't bring up Haskins though.

It's as if OSU has had the same coaches, scheme, and personelle for as long as they've had a CFB team.

Also, for one to use their checkdowns effectively, they have to actually have a check down option...just wanted to throw that out there.

whoahhhhhwwww !! NY, did you just compare HASKINS to Whitehurst - Beck and Hill ??

The difference between Haskins and Fields is that Haskins couldn't run like Fields.. but he was a very QB at Ohio State... those guys you named, they were never in the HASKINS' league..

as for Tua and Mac, (not that you can't) but you or anyone should not say that MAC is better than TUA... cause if he was, then how is it that he couldn't bit out Tua?? Tua was special, and you need to remember that he's a rookie.. How much did you expect from him ??

Once again the reason Haskins bombed in NFL wasn't his talent which btw is less than Fields'. It was his laziness, entitlement and immaturity.

Uh because he attempted over 100 more passes.

Think having Paris Campbell and Terry Mclaurin helps a QB?

Because Tua and Jones ran the exact same offense...they BOTH are talked about as super heady QBs that are accurate. Their stats are damn near the same and both relied heavily on YAC, open WRs on on first reads. Both played out of the gun and ran RPOs. Lots of bubble screens.

Haskins' weaknesses aren't the same as Fields and the offense they ran was different overall.

tua had a hip issue. He played and struggled to make those accurate passes that he was known for at Bama....if he wasn't healthy they wouldn't have played their high priced rookie

I expected a little more from ya tjd...it's a very weak argument for the sake of arguing

179 more attempts with a much better and developed WR group.

Haskins is a bust so far in the NFL because of who he is. He's got a really good arm. But he's like so many QBs before that come into the NFL with a good arm and they think they are the s**t. Have you guys not heard this guy talk and how he behaves? He's got the talent, but not the passion or care.

You can't guarantee that Fields will be great, but you know pretty damn well this kid is all about football, wants to be great, but more importantly is a team player first.

Montana and Young had the same offense and the same players surrounded him... Steve Young had better stats year in and year out..

WAS HE BETTER THAN JOE ??

Don't ask me I'm not the one bringing up stats to say who's better...young and Joe didn't have the same traits. Tua and Jones do inside the pocket. Tua can move though.

Haskins lacks work ethic, he wants to be great without putting the work in...his accuracy outside of short to intermediate routes drops like a rock.

he's also a pure in the pocket passer which doesn't help as a rookie trying to learn to play in the NFL. All these young kids that can extend plays can rely on that while they learn the other nuances.
