Damn I hope this is what happens. However, if I had to bet I would say Jones just because I dont truly trust Shanny to pick the better player instead of a guy who he thinks fits his scheme.

can anyone name the last QB to measure 6025 and win a Superbowl?

Mahomes did it at 6021 and Rodgers did it at 6020.

So your saying if a QB runs fast he won't win a super bowl? That's some next level thinking

jcs must've had his lunch money stolen by Fields or something. Haven't seen this level of petty in evaluating a prospect in some time.

Can anyone name the last QB named McCorkle to win a game in the NFL?

Wasn't it Sandcastle McCorkle?

Man, that kid had an arm

Really? I imagine if you put the tiniest bit of effort into searching the Mac Jones thread you'd find a whole new level of petty.

It literally is no different than the ones saying if you don't run fast you can't win one.

I'm surprised to see Wilson rated so low but I have my concerns about him and hope Jets zero in on him...of course with the idea that we draft Fields.

Not exact enough, unfortunately.

Pto Day #. Hr likely doesn't run a 4.4 so we'll be spared.

Even though he went from picking receivers like Pettis to receivers like Samuels and Aiyuk. Even though he's mentioned having a guy that's better than 98% of the other guys out there and can do just about everything better than everyone else.
As someone pointed out a few days ago, Juszczyk is now following Fields on twitter. He isn't following any other QB's from this class. Juice is one of Kyle's boys. We are taking Fields. Signed, sealed and delivered. You can take it to the betting window.

You need to spend more time in the Mac Jones thread. Never seen such huge amounts of vitriol directed at a single prospect by so many people.

I don't know why you think this is relevant. Russell Wilson ran close to that and he won a SB. I'd be right there with you if Fields was a guy that constantly looked to run but if anything he's shown outstanding patience in the pocket. He could easily have gone over 1000 yards rushing if he wanted but he was content to sit back and look for the big plays down the field. That's a good sign for his NFL viability.

I've given this a good bit of thought on why I dislike Jones. I do see many similarities as far as physical traits that remind me of our current QB limitations that defenses already exploit. I do think if Fields went to Alabama we would not be even discussing getting a chance to draft him at 3. And most importantly if we draft Jones it could cost us a coach that we all know is special and will have a very successful coaching career. Now that last point is true about any of these prospects and that's where preferences come into play. If you trade a few firsts wouldn't you be swinging for the fences and not trying to get a walk.
