Fields build is identical to Dak... Wilson ran a 4.5 I'd say he turned out just fine too

People should be jumping up and down to see Cohn hating. That's kind of his thing, right. Find out what we're going to do then troll on it.

i dont think think hes as close to wilson and Lawrence as he is to mac jones

I don't think the Bama game has anything to do with his value. If anything, he was praised for his toughness and competitiveness for playing the whole game hurt and with no Sermon.

The NW and Indiana games were definitely magnified, though, but from all I've heard and read, Fields has too much tape of great, consistent performances to get knocked too hard. Lawrence has had some rough games, too, but the kid has been crowned the day he stepped on Clemson's field.

You could argue that Lawrence didn't play too great in either of the playoff games in 2019 and got outplayed by Fields in 2020. If Fields gets knocked for the Bama game, Lawrence looked even worse vs LSU in 2019 title game.

If you actually just watch his play that game, he was pretty freaking good. That was not bad film at all...I'd say his worst game was Indiana. OSU was down 22 players vs NW.

I just feel like we don't even focus on his 2019 season which was ridiculous....IMO he get's picked ahead of Tua and Herbert if he could have went in that draft. It's not like Fields came out of nowhere either. He's one of the highest graded QBs to ever coming out of HS. His whole life has been driven around playing QB. THATS the guy you spend up for !

Even if SF doesn't draft him I hope he crushes it in the NFL (just not on Seattle lol). All the stupid BS being thrown out there is just dumb nonsense.

which is why he will go in the top 5

Agreed completely. Now is just the time where every prospect gets nitpicked more and more since there's so much time between now and the draft.

We don't have to go far to see Cohn make an ass of himself.

He kept posting all sorts of crap about Bosa being a terrible pick for the 49ers and how he was going to help them avoid making a huge mistakes like drafting Nick.

Clearly he's got an eye for OSU talent...

lol

Especially with the bolded. I honestly think that Jeremiah was the only one really making a lot of points based on his performance in 2019, first year at Ohio St where he absolutely KILLED it. Indiana just has his number, when comparing his numbers against them both years.
Now that wilson is gone, I'll get on the fields bandwagon. I still think it's going to be jones.

It just was a stupid trade. None of the remaining three qbs create any excitment for me. There would have been so much talent on the board at 12. You don't invest 3 first rounders unless there is a clear picture of what you're getting. I don't want a goff/wentz situation.

We don't have a shot at Justin Fields in a full normal season. Plain and simple. Zach Wilson probably isn't the #2 pick if he had a schedule similar to what he had in 2019. Mac's numbers probably would have been even more inflated had he not faced a full SEC schedule.

What I'm saying is that this is a good year to need a QB. Lots of good QBs that next year's draft probably can't match.

(in before Phoenix hits me with a Carson Strong video)

What exactly are you looking for as far as excitement?

How you don't get that from Fields i just don't understand....

Prob because he is from Ohio State and therefore an automatic bust.

I know I'm excited. I'm expecting a Big Ben like trajectory in the sense that initially we may lean on the run a little more in 2022. But by 2023 or 2024, we will be cutting loose with the passing offense.

You cant get everyone on board. There are a lot of casual fans who just go with the media narrative and dont really understand the game. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but a diehard shouldn't try convincing a casual.
