Justin Fields QB - Ohio State

Just think about that back side openness from all the stretch runs. The better defenses have been shooting the gaps straight upfield to stop our stretch. Imagine being exposed to a 60 yard bootleg or risking to stay and absorb the 6 ypc stretch runs.

This is what I'm thinking, and the beauty of it is that it happens regardless of whether Fields (or Lance) is ready or not.

Then you think about the Redzone offense and the cheat code it is to have a QB that has to be accounted for as a running threat.

No DC wants Kyle to have a dual threat QB.

But Mac Jones.

NFL analyst and Super Bowl winner Trent Dilfer was not shy in his assessment of how the Arizona Cardinals did by trading up to No. 10 in the NFL Draft and selecting Josh Rosen.

"You guys just won the draft," Dilfer said of the Cardinals' move on 98.7 FM Arizona's Sports Station. "Repeat this sound in six years when Josh is taking you to a Super Bowl or gone to multiple Pro Bowls. You guys just did something that doesn't happen very often.

"At No. 10 you got a franchise guy that can carry the weight of a city, a franchise. He'll do everything that's asked of him and more and he's got so much hunger and a burning desire in him. I think you're looking at really kinda the next Aaron Rodgers-type player in the NFL. He's that kind of talent."

Its almost like the kiss of death.

We're going to miss out on him because of Kyle's arrogance. I can't believe this

You'd think if he was so arrogant he'd want the biggest talent showing he can coach up whenever.

I simply refused to beleive the most innovative play caller in the NFL with only draft "a system quarterback" instead of an elite talent.

We can only hope. I'm with you....it's hard to believe he would take Mac here. If he does....I think it's time to start wondering if we have the right regime

I was wondering that a little bit when they passed on Mahomes (and yes, I'll always brag about knowing he'd be a future MVP).

But in all seriousness, none of those guys reached Jones' record setting production. Not even Tua. So there's an argument to be made that he's better than them.

Tua: 43 TDs in 2018. 11.2 YPA 71% comp.

Mac: 41 TDs in 2020. 11.2 YPA. 77% comp.

My add in bold.

Tua had 50 less passing attempt as well

AJ McCarron had 3,100 yards 28 TDs on only 330 passing attempts.

Laser accuracy. It would be insane to pass on him.

Hospital ball......Kittle would hit his head on the goal post with that perfect of a pass in stride

Uh, how? NFL safties aren't two times faster than college guys.

You missed my joke. I'm saying it's a hospital ball only cause Kittle would score a TD and hit his head on a goalpost

That's what happens when you fall in love with physical talent and forget the rest. Rosen ain't got it between the ears. And I don't mean that he isn't smart. He's brilliant. But ON FIELD intuition is a other beast, and he just doesn't have it. He's late all the time.
