Justin Fields QB - Ohio State

It seems to me that Lawrence got this God-like status because he beat the then unbeatable Alabama team as a true freshman and since then no one can say that maybe, just maybe Lawrence is good but not this Manning/Luck-level of prospect.

Oh and I´m not saying this because Lawrence had a rough game because I´ve saying this since last year when Lawrence started showing that he is human.
I'm really Glad Justin Fields played so well. If he plays like that again fir the National Championship. He'll be #1 QB for sure.

That will only help the 49ers because it will mean the TOP two guys will be Lawrence and Fields. Which means if they did want to go get Wilson, the trade up might not cost as much.

I honestly do not think they will try and get a QB though. As talented as this class is...I still think we will roll with Jimmy unless he completely flops next year.

Whoever is running that account also liked some article about replacing Jimmy Garoppolo this offseason lol.

Someone that is close to the Shanahans runs the QB collective.

Yeah I have no clue who the person is running the account, that doesn't mean Kyle isn't impressed with Fields though...he has worked with him at the QB collective.

We will see! More than likely it's Jimmy and Beathard back at QB

Fields is not gonna take over Lawrence as the top QB. That s**t is done man. Lawrence has the resume, one game doesn't mean anything in that process.

If SF goes with Jimmy they better get an amazing backup.

Lawrence is still viewed as the number one prospect but truth is, he didn't have a great year this season. Several QBs looked better than he did. He also hasn't looked good in the playoffs the last 2 games. His receivers aren't great so that's part of it and Clemson's O line isn't as good as it has been. I doubt that the Jags are going to think twice about drafting him.

I'm glad someone can see past the b******t.

Avg over 300 yards and 2.5 TDs completing 69% of his passes in 10 games. He had more than a fine season

There really isn't a weakness in his game overall.

Great under pressure check, arm talent check, decision making check, athletic ability/size check, leader check, multiple seasons as a starter check, played against top talent check, played at the highest level/games check. High football IQ check...

OSU just had a much better defense than Clemson last night. Fields is a stud and has been since HS.

People are so reactionary each week. These two have been the top 2 QBs and when it's all said and done they should be the 2 top QBs drafted.

If I'm the Jets I'm drafting this guy without even blinking!! I bet if they draft Fields, they immediately make them contenders in the AFC East!!!

The whole "OSU qb" thing still has me pumping the brakes.

Yah but how many good QB's came outta Tennessee not named Peyton Manning?? How many good QB's came out of Ole Miss not named Eli Manning?? How about Michigan since Tom Brady?? How about that Jeff Tedford curse that got everyone talking about Aaron Rodgers??

My point is, all that history is meaningless, if the guy is good he's good. It's up to the coaches and what's upstairs that will make him a good QB in the NFL or not.

Those numbers are okay but not eye popping for college. He was third team All American which has more to do with his numbers compared to others than his actual ability. I doubt that he feels he had a great year by his standards. Still expect the Jags to take him #1. If they pass on him and he's he star people expect for the next 15 years, that GM will never live it down. Fields has the ability to be great but has a little more chance of being just average. I don't think he'll be another Ohio State QB bust.
Can we draft his entire line? I swear he barely gets touched almost all game.

Could it be because he get the balls out?? I mean he got pretty beaten up yesterday and still sling the ball all over the place??

Same with Lawrence in most games hes played in.

Shows it all here. Reading defenses, arm strength, toughness, patient, excellent footwork, lateral movement in the pocket, resetting, eyes downfield...

He does everything at a high level.
