Is there anything in his background or scouting report that makes him a particular risk for this? More than any of the other potential 1st round QBs?

Asking moon to provide evidence for his opinions is like asking a fish if you can borrow their lawnmower.

Basically... hes black. Its easy to assume hes of low character than it is a white quarterback.
If Fields somehow drops out of the top 10, someone needs to be fired.

He's a canvas. Assuming he's smart enough and motivated enough to learn, if you're goal is to develop an elite QB from elite talent, you can't go wrong with him.
If he drops to 3, we should go get him. Kyle could work wonders with him possibly.

WAS there anything in LEAF - JAMARCUS - HASKINS - background report that stopped them from getting drafted high?

or better yet, Trubisky, did you all not have him ahead of Watson and Mahomes? I bet those who did were just listening to reports...

Trubisky - JaMarcus - Haskins and now Fields are QBs that I thought were NOT ready ...

Trey Lance as well, I don't know how ONE season can rocket this kid's stock..
this is just my MO but why would we trade so much capitol for Deshaun Watson when this guy kinda plays looks like a younger version of him. I say we might get him but who knows but I hope we get Patrick Surtain II. My feeling is that Surtain II has a high ceiling where as Fields would be a project for the next two maybe three years.

I don't see any similarities between Watson and Fields. Also, the asking price for Watson is high because he is a proven commodity in the NFL. He's a top 5 QB that's only 25 years old. With any of the QBs, it's still a crapshoot.

My comp for Fields has been Dak. I don't think he's as polished as him but I think he has all the tool and a bigger ceiling. I know Kyle has spent time with Fields at their QB camps over the yrs.

I would have no problem going with Fields

I'd love to get someone like Fields. I can see some of the Dak comparisons, but I've been comparing him more to Teddy Bridgewater, at least the potential that Teddy showed his last healthy season at Minnesota. They share a lot of similar traits as far as throwing mechanics. I also see a little bit of Ryan Tannehill in regards to the athleticism and the zip on the passes.

Yeah Teddy I don't see...he has a much more limited arm than Fields. He's also about 20lbs lighter. I would say Fields and Tannehill have a similar arm, which is good.

Ironically, I was probably one person that felt that Tannehill would've been a great fit with the Niners. Fields has that same potential should he get drafted by Shanahan.
I get the feeling Fields may just be there at 12....

I wish this were the case but I don't see this happening at all. Only QB I see left of the top 5 is Lance because of all the question marks.
