Justin Fields QB - Ohio State

Justin Fields QB - Ohio State

I'm warming up to just drafting a QB. Screw trading alway a boatload of picks and a defensive star for Watkins and the enormous contract.

All depends on the Jets and Falcons. If we can get by pick 4 with only one QB off the board, it's on. I'm not in favor of taking one, but if Shanalynch are convinced, go get your guy.

I have him sliding to 7th in my mock I just posted and we trade up with Detroit to get him. We will see.

If he's chilling there at 7...make that call!

Agreed, he sits at first though for me.

I haven't watched film on him, now curious on how quick he can get the ball out with that style.

He's a look on him doing some off season drills last yr and then applying those throws in games

I love a guy who will deftly move in the pocket and then fearlessly throw downfield, especially if he's accurate, too.

No way this guy falls past five. And if he does, we need to trade up to get him.

Of course same with Wilson, but I don't see either dropping far enough.

So you want Mac Jones because that's the only QB we're getting at 12
IF this kid gets out of the top 5...make a move!

Fields main issue is just trying to do to much, he needs to learn more with coverages/processing the field (all rookies do) That's stuff that can be learned without question.

I'd say he's much like Jimmy from that negative aspect BUT everything else is a massive upgrade. Plus he's 21 not 29. He's just scratching the surface with 2 yrs of play under his belt.

I'm kinda at this point too. It will be much cheaper to move up and select whichever of the top 4 QBs that fall. Ideally one falls out of top 5 and we only have to give up our 1st next year. That would allow us to help solidify the oline with our 2nd rounder.
When you compare Fields and Lance's physical tools, they're carbon copies of one another. It's going to be interesting to see how teams analyze them beyond their traits.
