You cream your pants for anyone. You must have 3000 pairs of pants!
What you're really telling us is, please not Jones!

Lol, yeah I got a couple of pair - as long as it isn't Jones I'll be satisfied.

what?!! you were all over Jones a week ago!

That's right as soon as new information comes out about these guys - I flip a lot.
I've been watching a lot his games recently to try and get a better feel for him.

I love his mechanics - I think he has great passing mechanics. Obviously throws a great ball when on the run. Accurate. Seems really smart and a really good leader.

There isnt much not to like about the guy besides the fact that he played for Ohio State. Haha

maybe that's why I didn't like him initially... I was biased cause I hate Ohio State.

I started coming on this site when I was in high school, so 10-12 years ago (can't remember which grade I started on here).
Three things have always been consistent with the webzone.
1. Most are going to cry and overreact about every little thing.
2. every year some late round/UDFA will become the second coming of Jesus Christ and be the best thing ever.
3. Mayo needs some god damn 49ers news and the game can't kickoff until his penis tingles!

#2. You mean like all those who were all in on Cody Pickett, and/or Nate Davis?

I started coming here in 2005-2006 I think? I had a few different log ins I forgot what my accounts were.

i didn't post much back then in HS but the Photoshop thread with Kwame Harris was the greatest thing. I think I refreshed that daily back when myself and everyone else in the world had a razor phone.

I started coming here in college. I'd go to a computer lab in the basement between classes and spend a couple hours posting. That was back when Niner Talk would have a couple hundred new threads a day all talking about Alex Smith vs. Aaron Rodgers and how great Eric Johnson and Brandon Lloyd were.
Charlie Casserly of NFLN in his second mock has Fields falling all the way to the Steelers at 24 and literally every fool I see is mocking Jones to the Niners. He was a GM back in the 90s holy s**t that dude has full-blown dementia.

That's pretty outrageous having him drop to #24 - he's still barely hanging on over there at NFLN.
Jcs got it right...

Justin Fields = Marcus Mariota...

I wouldn't say that - especially when season was canceled. That's where I hope Shanahan does his homework.

Again - draft is not only about what you've done - it's also a projection. Good thing is - Shanahan has access to these coaches and he has to figure out how much he can rely on what they're saying and what to believe. That's why I think Lance pro day is huge for him bc he's the one no one saw last year.

We better not make our decisions off pro days or bad things will be in our future. When we have the opportunity to draft a guy who has shown great accuracy in game situations and has the elite potential... you take him. Not the guy who still has to prove he can do those things in game situations.

I look at it differently. In Lance - we have a guy who has shown in game that he can call audibles and run the whole thing all by himself. Read coverages, blitzes, assign routes to WRs at LOS and protection - I think that has very high value in Shanahan's system.

Other QBs haven't done that.

Because they haven't been asked to do that. This sounds dangerously like Kyle preferring Beathard to Mahomes or Watson. Yes Lance also has the high ceiling but overlooking a high ceiling prospect who has a higher floor who player vs tougher defenses would be a mistake imo. This trade is a huge move. I'd rather we swing for the fences but also try to limit our risk at the same time. That's why Fields to me makes so much damn sense.

You're getting elite potential AND someone who has been consistently one of the top QBs in the country at any level he's been at.
