Because we can't get the top two guys.

When in doubt, cry racism.

I'm not crying racism. But you can't tell me that prejudices and biases aren't playing a part in the evaluation of Fields, Lance, and Jones. We've seen this movie many times before.

But everything at this point is perception. Fields hasn't dropped at all. If he falls then I'm sure there are legit reasons why. Lance punches holes into the prejudices theory imo.

Really? Yeah, we have seen this many times before...

It's not just perception. There are actual statements being made by those in and connected to the league, which then permeate through respective fanbases, including ours. You have people in the Jones thread echoing that he's the smartest QB who ever lived and saying that Fields and Lance are slow to process. Which is just ridiculous and not backed up by the tape or advanced statistics.

Then the choice should be pretty obvious, because we can get the third guy.

Are you trying to make the case that people in the NFL are immune to biases and prejudices? Lol.

This should answer why we're potentially smoke screening. Never show too much interest in a prospect you really like

Not at all. But to say that every year is biased, the facts speak for themselves.

When did I say "every year is biased?" If there is a CLEAR top pick at the QB position who is black, they go in the top picks. I'm talking about when it's close, is when you start hearing the nonsense we're hearing this year.

What point are you trying to make? Do you think Jones is better than Fields and/or Lance?

We ain't. I knew what Kyle meant when he said three top guys. Everyone knows who the consensus top guys are

No, I can't tell you who is better. I'm not a talent evaluator in the NFL. I want the best QB to be picked. I don't care who it is. But I have to give the FO the benefit of the doubt that they truly want to win and they have done their homework.

If Fields somehow falls to 32 then my eyes might be moist but I doubt he lasts long draft night. We're talking a major league top tier talent here

I still think its Fields and always has been. Just my gut feeling. Yesterday's presser did not change anything by what they said. They just look like they wanted to get it over with hense the irritated look

I also didn't get anything definitive from yesterday's presser. I watched it, trying to see if the 'Mac to SF is a done deal' was real, and based on what the two said, I didn't hear it.

Everyone over analyzed every word and heard what they wanted to hear....when in truth they said nothing.

Well if it is Fields, than we know they run the tightest ship ever in this modern age of connectivity. That would a tip of the ole' hat from me, but what are the odds of that lol

Kyle said he had his top 3, and he was going to do due diligence on 4 and 5. What if all the speculation that it's between Mac and Trey is the due diligence?
