It is injuries. If we had a healthy defense we are EASILY 4-1. If Kittle was healthy for week 1 after halftime I'd say he more than makes up for the 21 yards we needed for that td. So 5-0. Such a waste of a year.

The 49ers are still very young team. This unfortunate down year sucks, but you're right, it will only bring more young talent and one more year experience to Kinlaw, the young WRs and Bosa. This team is just beginning!

CB and RG/C are the top 2 needs.

#1 need-A change of philosophy in what they look for in O linemen. They were/are good run blockers but piss poor pass protectors and this is by design. They need to switch those things around.

#2-stop drafting WR's. Take a flier in a lower level FA.

#3-draft BPA minus WR.

I feel like the linemen thing comes from the FO just finding quality guys vs finding talented guys. And it bleeds to other positions. We all know the difference between a quality player vs a talented player. Those talented player just have things you cant coach. Let's say a Tartt vs a Jamal Adams.

Definitely need to sure up the O-line and find quality corners

Got to get rid of the dead wood (Ford, Kwon and Sherman) and replenish it with young talent.

Primary need is quarterback — not just because Garoppolo has failed to deliver upon expectations, but because he is PAID as if he has, which creates an ripple effect throughout the roster, interfering with resigning players (such as Buckner) or signing or trading for quality player (such as Adams).

Garoppolo's pay doesn't even remotely justify his performance, and because of his unjustified pay, the team cannot assemble enough dominant players to make up for his shortcomings.

Passrusher

1st round OT, CB, DE, or QB in any order depending on who is best. Please do not draft a DT in the first round!!!!! Second round on down everything from the first round add in Interior o line and pick away. If they cut Kwon Alexander and Ford they will need to look at LB and DE at some point.

It's probably easier to find O linemen that have some NFL experience than drafting one and trying to teach them how to pass block. The problem is, there aren't many good ones available on the FA market and they're in big demand so they can cost a lot. Then you have to find the type that fit Kyle's style of offense. I don't think he's going to change so that limits the type of player even more. They will definitely draft an O linemen but I'm not sure in what round. Irt rewally depends on how many are draft worthy and who is sitting there when they pick. CB, QB, DE are also in play.

If Jimmy can turn things around:

ER/CB/OL/QB

If Jimmy continues to struggle:

QB/ER/CB/OL

How many draft picks do we have? One in every round? Multiple picks in certain rounds?

We traded the 3rd round pick to Washington, so 6 picks total and maybe a comp pick due to losing Sanders.

10 key players to build around: Kittle, Garoppolo, Samuels, Aiyuk, Mostert, Kinlaw, Armstead, Bosa, Jones, Warner
Jones is the only key player not under contract so need to resign him. No offensive linemen on this list, so I'm forced to bring back TWilliams and Brunskill. No secondary so I'll bring back Tartt and KWilliams. Bring back Bourne to be #4 behind Samuels, Aiyuk and Hurd.

Primary draft need is pretty clear based on this: CB
1) Patrick Surtain, CB (Sherman, Witherspoon depart)
2) Creed Humphrey, C (Richburg injury)
3) Aidan Hutchinson, LEO (Bosa, Blair, Ford injuries)
