Rashawn Slater - OL

Center, RG and RT are huge question marks. Even if Mack comes here, RG and RT need to be addressed.

RT is fine. McG isn't a all-pro but his good plays out weigh his bad ones...when there's a bad play that's all we talk about and it's a bit over dramatic.

RG needs to be addressed for sure.

He's one of the better run blocking tackles in the league. Not so much as a pass blocker though.

He's avg there and I think having a legit RG and a real QB that plays will only help him.
So now we have the Niners taking a QB, a tackle, a safety, a corner, an edge and a WR in the first round. Too bad we don't have 6 first round picks.
Slater would be a fantastic pick at #12
If they can't get a QB, I would love this pick.

Williams-Tomlinson-mack-Slater-McG that my friends is a good god damn OL and I won't hear and slander from the OL is s**t peanut gallery

that's FIVE former 1st rd picks. No more crying about it.

if Jimmy can't roll with that OL, then I don't want to hear about any other excuses.

He's not average at all. Only by your standards. League standards there were only 3 worse than him.

I would be fine with it too. Especially if we keep Trent Williams.

Mack is old and is coming from the worst season of his career. McGlinchey is coming from the worst pass blocking grade of his career.

Ben garland was actually the 8th overall center in football and had the 14th overall PP grade (for guys over 300 snaps) but people would be all butt hurt having him lol.

Mack would be fine and fits this scheme well. Much better than any rookie in this draft.
I don't and won't understand any Ben garland slander. He's the ideal backup C imo

I think he's a decent back up also

Oh I agree. But because he's not some high end draft pick or a high in FA people get upset. I'd be more than happy with Mack and Garland heading into 2021.

some in here wouldn't

If you're going to sign Mack in FA, you want someone that is going to be able to take over for him eventually developing behind him. Garland is not and never will be a starting caliber center in this league.
