How many teams are desperate for a young QB?

No it doesn't because someone else that needs a QB could trade up with those teams.

Yup this. When it comes to trading up to get your QB, you trade to a spot that you know you will get him. Case in point, wasn't long ago that the Bears traded up 1 freaking spot with us to #2, to ensure they got their guy and other teams wouldn't trade with us to get him.
Every team wants a good/great QB.....it doesn't have to be a young one, ( hidden meaning is we probably thought Jimmy G was gonna be that guy )

All I did was list the top 15 draft order going into Week 9 and every respective team's quarterback situation.

1. NY Jets - (100%, they are getting Trevor)
2. NY Giants - Daniel Jones
3. Jacksonville - Minshew is garbage, so they'll be getting a QB for sure.
4. Miami (from Houston) - Tua
5. Dallas - Depends on if they pay Dak or not, but looks like they probably will.
6. Atlanta - They're probably rebuilding, and this may be a surprise QB pick as well.
7. Washington -- Obvious
8. Chargers - Herbert
9. New England - Obvious
10. Minnesota - they doubled down on Captain Kirk, if Zimmer is fired all bets are off
11. Cincinnati - Burrow
12. Carolina - Bridgewater is just a bridge
13. Detroit - Stafford is still in his prime, but there will probably be a regime change there
14. Denver - Drew Lock is showing some signs of life
15. San Francisco

The 49ers may only win 1 or 2 games the rest of the way, the way things stand now, but I could say the same for a lot of the teams ahead of them in the draft order.

Can Washington catch the Eagles?

In my opinion, we are competing with the teams in bold. It is not looking good. But I do think we'll be losing a lot more games, so I expect to finish in the top 10.

Still may need to trade up to land our guy IF that is the path that they're going.

Easiest route, trade with Miami for Houston's pick they have to leapfrog everyone except JAX, NYJ and we'll get Wilson np.
the other thing that is bad is we will most likely lose any tiebreakers with teams that have the same record with us, due to the fact we play in the toughest division and have 6 games against teams with winning records just in our division, so our strength of schedule will be one of the highest if not the higjest.

I think 49ers will draft between 11-15, so if they want Zach Wilson like I do, they're gonna have to trade up. No way Lynch and Shanahan trade up in to the top 5, I think they're too damn conservative with their picks!!! Why couldn't Wilson come out in 2017!!!!
There will be a QB available 10-15. Whether it's "Our guy" is another matter.

Trading 6-10 is a definite possibility.

We'll have a clearer idea in a couple of weeks. Can't see any way we beat the Saints with our busted roster so some of the teams below us will play 3 games before our next attempt at a win.

And by my count there's 5 games this week alone where two teams below us are facing each other.

I could definitely see the Bears moving up for a QB.

All true. We just have to hope they won't be ultra conservative with future picks. Getting a FQB is priority 1, at least it should be for them.

We'll have to leapfrog them, as well as Washington if we want to grab Wilson before he comes off the board. Even if we have to throw 2 years of first rounders to do it, they should imo. Wilson could be our Mahomes.

More than likely they'll have to leapfrog us.

Other than Green Bay and maybe Minnesota, today is probably the Bears toughest remaining opponent. Still see them getting to 9 or 10 wins.
1. Jets

2. Jacksonville

3. WFC

All going QB.

This. I was really hoping Jacksonville and WFC would pull out some wins today.
