2021 edge rush prospects

He should be eligible to return soon. Hopefully before the draft so we can get a real thread on this kid

Azeez Ojulari is the best edge player I've watched so far. His stab-chop is filthy!

I've only watched 3, tho.

Last mock I saw was him to the niners. Could feasibly trade back and still nab him. He's got crazy bend as well
The biggest knock on Azeez Ojulari is his size. He's listed at 240 lbs. That's really light. I wish he was 250-260 to have the mass to anchor an NFL tackle and play through contact.

I was listening to an interview Kwity Paye did, and he was talking about how he's focusing on mastering a go-to move. He mentioned that Yannick Ngakoue's cross-chop(video on the previous page) is his favorite. I love to hear this from a young edge rusher. I always say that you really just need a good go-to move and a counter off that to be successful. Did I mention that Kwity is god damn unit! I really like this kid.

He's a stud. Just might be the best defensive player in the draft. He's definitely going in the top 10.

If he can't anchor like Rashan Gary can I'll pass!!!
If there's a way to get this guy and Mac Jones I'd be happy.

I think hero tossed out grabbing Paye and moving back into the 1st for Jones...I wouldn't hate that at all.

Spend the rest of the remaining picks on OL/DB.

Parsons would be my pick as best defensive player...Paye imo is a top 10 player as well.

I agree his arms look short, but I believe he will be what Wu went to the webzone grave thinking Rashan Gary would be.

The last guy we drafted with so called 'short arms' was terrible.
Arm length is way overblown in the NFL and a lot of other sports. You see it all the time in boxing. The guy with the so called reach advantage often gets the crap beat out of him. A couple inches in arm length can't make that much difference in whether the guy gets to the passer or not. I'm way more concerned with how tough the guy is and if he has the motor to keep it up all game. Does he have closing speed. Does he have moves like Bosa or is he just a straight ahead power rusher.
I'm not sold on Paye and I think this edge class is very pedestrian in the first couple rounds.

I must have missed it... did he get banned? He was dedicated on that Gary thread I respected it

Dang it, I really liked him as an option for us. Smart move for his overall draft grade, could be a 1st rounder next year with a great senior year.
