Chances of getting a very high draft pick?

Lets not kid ourselves. We need a very high draft pick. We have multiple needs in several categories. As of now we are picking #14 overall in the draft. This seems like a team much worse than 14th pick in the draft. There are an amazing number of teams with 2 and 3 wins. At the time of this post we have 4 wins.

Can we get some of those 2 - 3 win teams to win some more games? Or can we lose some more games? We need a much better pick than #14 overall. That is not good enough for this team with the key holes we have.

Losing against Washington and Dallas will help.

Likely only have 2 possible wins remaining. Dallas and Washington. That puts us at 6-10. I think realistically our first round pick will be in the 7th-12th range if that happens.

5-11 gets us 5th-8th
4-12 gets us 3rd-6th

Honestly it looks like this team needs a lot, the biggest is QB play and injuries, key players come back next year which will make this team again look like a real contender, just Bosa being back alone with Kinlaw, AA and Ford ( he's the least I count on ), Hyder, DJ, Givens, a rookie edge or a vet like Kerrigan will make this D greater, our LBs are solid, a late rd stud they will chose bc they are great at scouting the LBer position, secondary plays better each week, I'm good with Moseley, Verrett, Williams, a draft pick and Taylor. S I think we are stuck with Ward, but I LOVE that Moore got the start and played well ! Then it's our offense, when Mostert, Deebo, Aiyuk, Juice and Kittle are healthy and have a real QB how do you stop them ??? Then the OL Williams, Tomlinson, Mcglinchey are starters on every team in the league, Richburg is a good C but injuries, RG needs improvement.

So I think improvement start with QB, RG or C, ER, DB, LB, S..

I'm ok with trading up for the QB we want if we have to, then go after the other needs

Agreed. We need to lose out to have the best pick possible in order for us to fill our FQB need with, hopefully, Zach Wilson. Alex was impressive today against Detroit, just too bad they couldn't get the W. QB imo is our greatest need, more than any defensive need.

We can but it would require a very precise ritual where we all gather in the parking lot of Levi's on a late weekday evening with everyone garbed in loincloth and gathered in a large circle, holding hands and chanting loudly to bring the blessings of William Ernest Walsh upon this franchise.

SOS is going to count against us.

Right now 8th has 3 wins so we're not far off top 10.

Next week is pretty big considering we have the bye.

Texans v Patriots, Panthers v Lions, Viking v Cowboys, Chargers v Jets, Washington v Bengals,

Teams will either win and join us on 4 wins or get closer to us by moving to 3 wins.

Following week also has 4 games between teams below us.

If we lose to the Rams it's going to be very congested around us no matter what.

I was just thinking about this. There's a good chance we end up 6-10. Beating the Redskins and Cowboys this year. So we will be in the 15-20 range

No team in the last 10 years has drafted lower than 12th with a 6-10 record.

There's going to be 14 playoff teams this year so even by default the lowest we can draft is 18th and that's if we have the best record of non play off teams.
