WITH THE 12TH PICK OF THE 2021 DRAFT...

What do you guys see going down in this upcoming draft? Yes, first we need to know what # we're picking at, but here's to hoping we lose these last 2 games, and lock in a top 10 pick.
If we land 1 of the top 4 QB's we almost have to do it, assuming we already have a deal in place with the Patriots to trade them Jimmy G. Getting his contract off the books opens up payroll to retain some of our FA's. We also need to get rid of Ford+Richburg, and use those savings to keep what we can from our FA class.

The rest of the draft we need to address CB+IOL, assuming trading Jimmy G+cutting Ford+Richburg opens up enough money to keep T. Williams along with other key guys (Juice+ K. Williams+Verrett).
Call me crazy and I don't want it to happen but I could see the powers that be trading Kittle Yes it seems crazy, but he hasn't had a healthy season yet and he's our best offensive player and watching Buckner have a career season in Indy not only makes me sick but also reminds me that who knows what kind of crazy trades might happen this year with so many holes to fill.
I'm totally down with everything you said

It will be if we don't go and beat the Cards/Hawks.

You sure? We're at #11 now with a high SOS

Need some of the 4 and 5 win teams to win. Either way, I like that we're at least in position for a move up if need be.

Well If we lose the next two game we SHOULD be in the top 10.

There are many reasons Kittle won't get dealt- salary cap hit being one of the biggest.
With that said, the guy has been injured a lot. It really is odd that the FO decided to give Ward, AA and Kittle huge extensions but were ok letting DeFo go, despite the fact that he is the "healthiest" of the bunch.

Week 16 games that impact draft standings:

Cincinnati vs Houston
San Francisco vs Arizona
Philadelphia vs Dallas
Denver vs LA Chargers

A loss by the 49ers and wins by Houston, LA, and Philadelphia/Dallas put SF in the top 10. Still won't be high enough to get a quarterback if that's the direction they want to go.

DeFo was the heart and soul of the defense. He, Warner, Greenlaw, and Bosa were the cornerstones for a decade. It made no sense to keep AA and let DeFo walk. Was money that big of an issue? They paid AA, go a little deeper and keep #99. This is a decision that will go down as one of the worst in the Lynch-Shanahan era.

My thought is it'll be cheaper to trade up for Wilson thooooooo lol
Losses in the last two pretty much guarantee a top 10 pick:

Assuming the Giants lose tonight and the Bengals lose tomorrow, the standings are as followed (not sorted with SOS factored):

1. Jaguars 1-13
2. Jets 1-13
3. Bengals 2-11-1
4. Panthers 4-10
5. Falcons 4-10
6. Texans 4-10
7. Eagles 4-9-1
8. 49ers 5-9
9. Cowboys 5-9
10. Chargers 5-9
11. Lions 5-9
12. Broncos 5-9
13. Giants 5-9
14-32 All have 6 wins or more

49ers losing the last two put them at 5-11.

Week 16 matchups:
Broncos (5-9) vs Chargers (5-9)
Eagles (4-9-1) vs Cowboys (5-9)
Panthers (4-10) vs Redskins (6-8)

Week 17 matchups:
Cowboys (5-9) vs Giants (5-9)
Redskins (6-8) vs Eagles (4-9-1)
Bengals (2-10) vs Texans (4-10)
Vikings (6-8) vs Lions (5-9)
Raiders (7-7) vs Broncos (5-9)
Falcons (4-10) vs Buccaneers (9-5)
Saints (10-4) vs Panthers (4-10)
Titans (10-4) vs Texans (4-10)
Chargers (5-9) vs Chiefs (13-1)

Thats 2 guaranteed 5-9 teams winning at least one more game. Absolute worst case scenario would be 11th overall. That's assuming everything else goes wrong AND the 49ers SOS is the best. You also have the Buccaneers, Saints, Titans and Chiefs all possibly having nothing to play for in Week 17 with seeding already locked up.

49ers will probably pick between 5th-8th realistically. I'll guess it ends up being 6th.

If it's 6th then please come on down Zack Wilson !!!
To me it's not so much what pick the 49ers end up with, as it is what teams end up in the top 4 spots that would trade out. Hopefully a trade could be made with either Jets, Bengals or Dolphins (Hou pick). Not sure Falcons would trade within conference.
