15th with a win - or possibly 16th provided the Raiders lose. Both teams have the same SOS so one result elsewhere could swing it either way.
Maybe even another coin flip.

Picking at 15/16 despite the absolute shishow this year has been would be SO on brand for the 49ers. For a team that has been in the dumpster for the majority of the last 15 years we have only picked top 5 3 times and all in horrible years to pick that high .

Nick Bosa would probably disagree with that....
And 2017 was a great year to draft high. 49ers just severely blew that pick. Only other one would have been 2005, I guess? And yeah, that wasn't a great draft to pick high in either. We only could have had Aaron Rogers.

We can maybe get a Lance or a good Cb or OL at #15.

That's exactly what we're going to do imo. Possibly a DE but I would rather sign Hyder for 8-10 mil per year if it's feasible

Yeah, 2 of the last 3 times we drafted in the Top 5, we passed on Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. And we wonder why we can't find a superstar franchise QB?

Jaycee Horn come on down!
Absolutely brutal win on Saturday for draft position. Niners would be in the #10 spot had they lost. And they'd be primed to move up as high as #8 with PHI & NYG playing very beatable opponents this week. At #8 a trade up is much more doable than from the #13-15 range.

Worst case scenario is 16th. Basically the worst spot without making the playoffs.

The Niners have rarely been bad enough to pick in the top 5 or even top 10. That's good and bad. That says that at least the team was somewhat competitive. There are teams like Detroit and the Jets that are always picking top 5 or top 10 and they never get any better. Just having a higher pick is no guaranty that the team will improve. I know on paper they can get a better player but we all know this game isn't played on paper or on a video screen.

Yeah, bad day for the draft position - but, it wasn't meant to be. Just got to hope that we keep the tanking going against the Seachickens and we don't drop any further than the #15 spot.

Just have to hope wherever we end up picking we're drafting a stud.
Wouldn't be the first time the best player in a class didn't come out of the top 10.
Aaron Donald was 13th
JJ Watt 11th
Mahomes 10th
And many more examples.
We did pretty good picking outside the top 10 last year. Hopefully we find success again if we're not trading up for a QB.
