Yes I would...I also don't think it's gonna cost a 1st rd pick, especially if Stafford wants out.

I would probably do Stafford and their 3rd rounder for our 1st.

Depends on what the market looks like for Stafford and what the cost would be to move up for a rookie like Wilson.

I'd be happy with a combo trade, like the 49ers 1st and 2nd for Stafford and Detroit's 2nd and 3rd round picks but if it came down to it, I'd be happy with giving up a 1st just for him.

I think Stafford would be scary good in Shanahan's offense, especially with the receivers they have now. Kittle, Aiyuk and Deebo would all be major beneficiaries of adding an experienced veteran passer that has extraordinary arm talent and wouldn't have the pressure of having to carry an entire offense on his shoulders for the first time in his career. If you get four good years out of Stafford and compete for SB's, hopefully winning at least one, to me that would be worth it.

The ideal situation for me would be:
  • trade our 1st for Stafford and a 3rd
  • trade Jimmy to NE for a 3rd

Should also point out that he was in his 20s in those clips. I think it's fair to question how mobile he'll be in the years to come. He isn't ancient at about 33 but he's had his share of injuries also.

Regardless, he's still far from a statue. He moves pretty well for a QB his size. Shanahan would be able to support him with a strong run game, maybe even add a legit deep threat to pressure defenses to further push a safety back.

He has never had a strong run game ever, I think Reggie Bush was his only 1000yd rusher.

If Lynch pulled this off he would win Executive of the year

Jahvid Best had a bright future.

That was a big help for him.

He was certainly seeing stars.
Not a bad spot if we wanna trade up tbh. Gonna be a really interesting offseason.

Dude looked more than fine today...moved around great and was slinging it, on a bum ankle. Jimmy would never
I honestly think this pick has to be about a QB, either trade up or trade it for Stafford Then fix other needs with the rest of the picks. If it's a trade up we'd still have a 2nd or 3rd, 4th, 3 5ths, a 6th and 2 7ths in this yrs draft ( again assuming our 1st this yr, 2nd or 3rd this yr, 1st next yr and a 3rd next yr is enough to trade up or trade for Stafford giving our 1st for Stafford and their 2nd or 3rd )

Trade down. They need to come out of days 1 and 2 with another edge rusher, corner, and center. Some may think we are good at edge, but there is no guarantee we resign Hyder. i see Ronald Blair as a good rotational player, but as it stands, he won't be under contract either. Then there's Dee Ford. So yeah, we need another edge rusher. If by some miracle, we can draft one on day 1/2 AND resign Hyder, Arik Armstead plays DT only. With corner, once again, so many free agents. We also are likely losing Sherman, so we need a player that can replace him. K. Williams is also a free agent. Finally, I'd rather Brunskill playing swing tackle or competing with McGlinchey for the starting spot. Bring in another center to compete with Richburg (fingers crossed) and Garland. They also could compete for the starting RG spot with McKivitz next year.

If Jimmy doesn't show some real growth, then go all in on a QB in 2022. I'm also hoping there will be less competition for a QB since most teams will either have their guy or have a relatively new QB.

What the h-ll is with this Jimmy growth thing. He's gonna be 30 for G-D's sake. He's glass. Kyle and Lynch can't screw this one up. Kyle's record has to be shortening his leash. He needs a qb who can run his O. Jimmy doesn't present a deep ball threat. Gotta have that to make this O work. I would personally try to trade up for a guy like Wilson. He could sit for a little bit until Jimmy sprains the other ankle or bruises his shoulder.
