New GM. New HC. New regime. Darnold (whether his fault or not) has soured. They have Seattle's 1st and 3rd Rounders this year from the Adams trade (also have Seattle's 1st in 2022). They have the picks to give a new QB weapons.
They're going to take their choice of Fields or Wilson.

What? If this is true, lol @ Seattle

One way or the other we have to get a QB with that 1st round pick.

Depends on what the market looks like for Stafford and what the cost would be to move up for a rookie like Wilson.
I'd be happy with a combo trade, like the 49ers 1st and 2nd for Stafford and Detroit's 2nd and 3rd round picks but if it came down to it, I'd be happy with giving up a 1st just for him.
I think Stafford would be scary good in Shanahan's offense, especially with the receivers they have now. Kittle, Aiyuk and Deebo would all be major beneficiaries of adding an experienced veteran passer that has extraordinary arm talent and wouldn't have the pressure of having to carry an entire offense on his shoulders for the first time in his career. If you get four good years out of Stafford and compete for SB's, hopefully winning at least one, to me that would be worth it.
- trade our 1st for Stafford and a 3rd
- trade Jimmy to NE for a 3rd
With no offensive line to protect him lol?

Yes I would...I also don't think it's gonna cost a 1st rd pick, especially if Stafford wants out.

Originally posted by HarbaughzDeep:Who knows. There is really a limited crowd that would trade for Stafford. The Jaguars, Jets, Panthers, Eagles, Broncos and Giants are likely not inclined to make a move for a veteran QB like Stafford. They are more likely to draft a young guy with the state of their rosters/franchises.The Falcons and Cowboys are likely staying with veterans at QB. Everyone else either has established QB's or just drafted a young guy.
That leaves the following candidates for Stafford in my opinion:
49ers, Patriots, Washington, Bears, Colts and the Saints.
The Lions won't trade him to Chicago. The Patriots don't have a 3rd Rounder this year and their roster is shot. The Saints are up against the cap big time and have Winston/Hill as a contingency plan. Who knows if Rivers comes back for Indianapolis.
That leaves my top spots in order:
1. 49ers
2. Washington
3. Colts
We pick ahead of everyone so whatever the offers are, we could beat them. I think it will end up being a 2nd Rounder that gets the job done with his contract status and everything else accounted for.

To the Stafford stans, I one question. If Stafford is as great as you say, why would they trade their QB within the same conference? Wouldn't it make sense to trade hi.yo the AFC? You guys are thinking with your hearts, not your minds.
