Drake Jackson-C-Kentucky

Just setting a placeholder here but this is a prospect that I like a lot. He's very experienced with over 40 games started, reliable in that he never misses games, plays with great leverage and awareness. Has that bulldog mentality and fight from an OL where he seems to truly enjoy burying guys into the turf and is quick to protect his quarterback, consistently blocks through the whistle. Monster as a run blocker which would play huge in this offense in particular. He plays with an intensity that reminds me of Wyatt Teller when he was at Virginia Tech. Agility and athleticism are not incredible but overall good enough for him to get out to the second level.

Overall I think he's someone that could be a day 1 starter on this team and a solid to pretty good NFL center.

We need that nasty mauler in the middle of our line. Would love Jackson on this team.

Until Kyle proves he's willing to start a rookie center, I'm not going to get excited anymore about these prospects.

This, nasty and talented at C is what I want next year and beyond for this team.

He doesn't even have to be drafted with the idea of being an immediate starter but he's certainly capable of it. Right now I think he's a 3rd to 4th rounder but could move up quite a bit with a good showing at the SB. Hes got exactly what you want from a center in this offense.

And I can definitely see the team giving him some time at guard to get acclimated with the system, similar to McKivitz. Build that trust with Shanahan before taking the center position.

3rd overall center according to PFF (behind my by from Iowa and Bama center).

I'm down...gonna watch some more.

Would be a great early day 3 pickup if he lasts that long.
