Shanahan knows more than anyone how important the Center is for his offense. He wanted a veteran like Alex Mack, unfortunately he got a guy who can't stay on the field. So he will need to look elsewhere, and because of the cap drop, most likely it'll have to be a rookie. Can't be any worse than Kilgore, Grosu, Brunskill, Garland, etc.

Drake dropped to the 6th or 7th?
Historically, Shannahan seems like he places a premium on veteran centers. However, neglecting to develop talented rookie centers is a big part of the problem this year.
What would be ideal IMHO would be something like this:
1) Cut Richburg (too much injury risk)
2) Sign a vet like Mack
3) draft Drake in the 4th or 5th
4) keep Ben Garland for C/OG depth
- 1 2
