If the top 4 are gone by the time the Niners pick, I'd trade down for more draft capital.

Top 4 are gone, go for broke and get Stafford.

Yes! We'd be rolling if we come out with one of those 5

I value Crocky's opinion for sure, I never said Jones wasn't a fit. I was replying to this

That is why alot of QBs bust. Because a guy has more arm strength or foot speed doesn't make him the perfect QB for system in which he is being drafted. I'm not saying he can't im just saying we don't know if Wilson can be that guy.

Just from watching what Wilson does well and the plays they asking him to run in BYU he's absolutely a fit for Kyle's scheme.

How about you go find Crocker's breakdown of Zack Wilson lol

The one where he compares him to Johnny Manziel?

Never saw that one bud. Crocky loves him some Wilson

People are making it seem like we wouldn't utilize Wilson in this offense.

If anything he's exactly what we need.

Yes he is, but he ain't goin past Jerry Jones..

Dallas will beat SF and then have two winnable games against Philly and NYG. Especially if a win against NYG takes them out of playoffs.

That's what people are forgetting about Dallas, their playoff hopes are still alive
I think we will trade down in the first, grab a corner, and then trade up from the 2nd to the end of the 1st to draft a QB to sit behind Jimmy that is raw with high potential.
That's how close s**t is right now lol

So that means you have all the QBs similarity ranked?

As much as I want to be in position to take whoever is there after Lawrence and QB2, I just can't bring myself to root for the 49ers to lose.

Truthfully I can't either. I go into the game WANTING to lose. HOPING we lose. As the game goes on I find myself ROOTING for a win.

Then we screw up and I smile because it's for the greater good.

If Stafford gets traded it will happen before the draft. He won't be as consolation prize to some team who missed out on the top 4.

This. Which is why I want a rookie.
We need to trade up of course, gonna take a lot but if you nab one of the 4 qbs you gonna be set for awhile

Sadly I could see teams 5-10 all being on 5 wins and we're 10th because of SOS.

If we lose to Cowboys we're short odds to lose out and we're definitely top 10. If we beat the Cowboys SOS will probably keep us 11th-15th.

I don't want to lose but I don't can't if they do...at this point I do care more about the future of the franchise than a week 15 game.
Guys, we are going to be super bowl contenders next year with good health. I know a new qb is sexy and shiny, and I want Wilson as much as anyone. But drafting two starters could put this team over the top. The more qbs taken early the better guard or corner slips to our first two picks. Then we have two upgrades for next year AND extend our competitive window.
So unless we lose out and Wilson is there, you draft two starters, then either roll with Jimmy G, or, what I would do is go get Stafford. The. You are talented, deep, and with good health a super bowl contender.
With a rookie qb you are gonna go through some big growing pains.
So in summation, it's all dictated by what happens in the draft, but there is an outline

you are aware how many players will be FA after this season?
you are aware how much cap space Jimmys contract eats?
you are aware that the Salary Cap most likely will drop to 175 Millions?

I much rather trade of cut Jimmy, free up north of 20 Million Cap space and try to keep as many good starters who will be FA as possible.
Try to get an aging veteran as QB and draft a Rookie in Round1 and let them battle it out.
If we get up high enough to get one of the top QB's I wouldn't mind moving jimmy for a 3rd rounder. Draft our franchise QB and bring in Brissett to compete and be his backup
