What's your idea of waaaaaay up?? I think if the 9ers have the 13th or 14th pick like they're projected to, then I would trade as high as the 8th pick or where
ever Zach Wilson lands in the 1st round.

That is why alot of QBs bust. Because a guy has more arm strength or foot speed doesn't make him the perfect QB for system in which he is being drafted. I'm not saying he can't im just saying we don't know if Wilson can be that guy.

Just from watching what Wilson does well and the plays they asking him to run in BYU he's absolutely a fit for Kyle's scheme.

How about you go find Crocker's breakdown of Zack Wilson lol

The one where he compares him to Johnny Manziel?

Never saw that one bud. Crocky loves him some Wilson

If they absolutely love a QB do what you can to get them...s**t I'd hope they'd call about Lawrence and see if that's even a possibility. Same with Fields (If they love him).

If they love Lance/Wilson doing whatever to get them, I don't care about what you give up if they love the prospect and think he's the guy for the next 10+ yrs make it happen...if they think it's Mac Jones you're using that 1st rd pick as well.
Too many free agents leaving this year that will need to get replaced.

I don't think Kyle and John are going to be as QB hungry as us fans are.

I'm seeing a trade down scenario for more picks. Too soon to look into the possibilities. But I'm thinking they need 10 picks minimum, to help fill a roster that's potentially losing 20 or more to free agency.

I have a feeling this roster is going to look a lot different next year.
I voted for using the 1st, but if we have a realistic shot to get Lawrence or Wilson or maybe Fields, I'd throw down some capital to move up high. Even if we don't go into the top 5, in order to get Jones or Trask we'll probably need to move up a few spots.

Basically I feel like this: Either move up for Wilson or trade picks away for Stafford (assuming that's even possible).

Tend to agree.

I see JG being back because we won't get anyone better.

IMO, getting improvement on the OLine is crucial.

JG will perform a lot better if the OLine protects him better.

There may be a QB in the 2nd or later that will be a steal but I really doubt it.

Dak is an example of striking lightning.

Could happen.
If the guy is within striking distance then you go get the guy.

Imagine how many of those free agents we can keep long term by dropping Jimmy and trusting the fates with QB for one season. If we somehow made the Stafford trade, we'd upgrade the QB position while not worsening our cap situation (pending contract renegotiation).

Of course, in the NFL we play for the present, not the future.

But consider a world where we can get Wilson and release Jimmy. We'll get a net of about 15 million in cap space, which could save us two or three of those more important free agents.

This is good to hear. I just hope he's being sincere because we all know he has a type.

"I still love you."

So you think he is going Lance or- maybe- like Riddler if he drafts a qb?

wait, I mixed Ridder up with someone else. I haven't seen enough of Ridder to say for sure that I don't think Shanny will like him. He's on my to-watch list.

Trey Lance is someone I can totally see Shanny loving.

We can get him easily if Kyle wants him. Despite what he does at the combine- his teams one game record this year- is gonna make people thing twice
Let's say we end up picking 14 and we need to get to 6 to ensure one of the big 4 QBs, is a future 1st going to be enough?
